there's a theory out there that Child's drank gasoline/kerosene at the end there and MacReady was smiling because he confirmed that Child's was The Thing. they were using molotov cocktails to blow up the camp - maybe it was alcohol? or maybe the kerosene they found?

Its not Horror but it is based in the apocalypse and honestly its not far off whats actually being pushed to combat climate change(some measures atleast) tho obviously it wouldnt have the impact irl that it had in the movie but its really good

2023-10-27 05:09:26 +0000 UTCSo theres a lot of hints, like Windows drops the keys when he sees bennings being taken, at that point the dude who had the heart attack or Palmer were the things and could have taken the keys for the blood, and on that shot after they find the Blair things ship it shows the coats on the wall but later the coats are different, hinting that at the end Childs got changed because they said earlier on that the thing rips through your clothes so he took the new coat off the wall, theres also the other theory that at the end they were throwing molotovs and Mcready gave Childs the molotov to drink confirming hes the thing at the end which is why he laughed cause Mcready never drinks from it but the thing didnt react to drinking gas. theres also the fact the Mcreadys breath is visible while Childs isnt when both should be visible if they were humans

That's why even (Ridley Scott) Alien is considered a horror movie. This and Alien was considered one of the greatest horror films during those times. Glad you guys enjoyed it and I hope you do one more horror movie. Talk to me is a great horror movie to end on for Halloween
