English actors make it obvious that the show is geared for a younger audience but the sub makes it feel less cheesy. Unlike one piece dub which is similar in cheesiness, but its pretty funny. I dont think Fairy Tail is funny enough in comparison to get over the cheesiness. Now that i remember, i watched Fairy Tail a while back and this was the anime that made me transition from dub to sub permanently. However, i really enjoy the guys reaction, so i can deal with any version tbh.

The only time from this point on that someone will die will be in backstories like ur or maybe a minor character. And this isn’t me trying to spoil anything for y’all that’s just how the show is sadly it ruins the stakes of a lot of fights
