It's fine to really enjoy something and desire for others to enjoy the same but if they don't then that's fine. The way I see it, we're all biased and hypocritical to an extent, the human condition. It's fine so long as we hold ourselves accountable. Some find that harder to do than others evidently, but I think we can all agree that there's a lot of good anime and we are spoiled for choice. Everything you said about overall tone and bigger picture of Bleach and each cour makes a lot of sense. I also like how this war feels more like a War of Ideals where each individual sternritter and soul reaper have their own way of looking at the world and how it should function.

It looked like it was a tradeoff.

The callback to SS Arc with the Shiba family helping out was great, and I really fuck with Ichigo and his crew. Chad and Orihime ain't strong, but boy do they ride or die with and for Ichigo and act as the emotional anchors for him and Ishida who have to bear the weight of this conflict. Kubo's character designs are just so clean. As far as a more edgy aesthetic, his designs are by far my favorite. Orihime's fit should be a fucking Bankai. Zero Squad and Juha's own Royal Guard step up the tempo on the designs. This was a great episode and the best of this season so far. What a great weekend for anime fans filled with a lot of great content. I just spent nearly 24 hours travelling back to the states and having all of this waiting for me after resting is just perfect. A fat joint, some fried chicken, and some killer anime.

2023-09-24 23:28:13 +0000 UTCThis Episode is brought to you the namesake of this part: The Separation Those first few mins before jumping back to the present is completely anime original and gave us something that we didn’t get till the end of the manga: Yhwach’s Motive of unifying all the worlds of existence, Life & Death and ending this current world of “deceit” or rather The (S)Xeparation of Reality. What was shown was an ancient past diplomatic meeting between the Quincy King and The Progenitor Soul Reaper Monk Who Calls the Real Name gone wrong. The fact that we got it now along with his signature ability (which shall be named and revealed in the finale) that was taken from him shows that they truly care about fleshing out the source material as much as possible when we’re only about to be halfway through this anime arc, making this one of the best anime adaptations. They’ve been having to sacrifice a lot of fan service comedic gag fluff in the manga and streamline/condense a lot of the dialogue for the sake of the overall tone and appropriate pace for a war to end all of the consecutive back to back action throughout this 2nd invasion of the arc, they know exactly what they’re doing but unfortunately many people are quick to jump to conclusions looking at it from an episodic basis instead of looking at the bigger picture, as if the pacing is out of whack or sacrificing the comedic tone takes away from “the heart of Bleach” while that was certainly a part of OG Bleach, it’s always had this darker and spiritual tone “Less is More, Poetry in Motion”, that’s the true essence of BLEACH.
