Now of course other Mangakas respect and revere him, but not to the same extent some of you fans as OPtards do. He didn’t set any standard higher than Toriyama (Who was actually and partially the one to inspire Kubo to work harder) when it didn’t even break as many cultural barriers as DB did from the jump, that’s why it needed a 1000+ chapters/Eps as well as a live action to become globally mainstream after 20+ years to appeal to general and casual audiences, meanwhile every other well-established and iconic series was able to make it with far less such as DB, Naruto, Bleach, JoJos, Berserk, HXH, Gintama and especially NewGens. Not everybody is into pirates, the goofy tone or it’s story approach of exploration adventure, in fact many to most people aren’t, it’s just what it is. And it’s length especially doesn’t help. Kubo would never disagree with anything that I’ve said as he’s in a rivalry with Oda in his own way, what you mentioned at the beginning of your last comment is what started it and the reason Oda’s work got publicized and published first was cause it appealed to the Japanese audiences more, but that doesn’t make it better critically speaking, something being the most popular and publicized, doesn’t make it critically or objectively the best in terms of quality. Regardless of your deluded Fanboyism, OP will never have the influence Bleach has cause it had a far greater appeal globally speaking beyond just Japan and eastern countries. Bleach is able to be like others that came before while simultaneously being subtly different and more mature to the point that people like you can’t even see it unless you read between the lines. To me its only major blemish is the pell incident. But after seeing merry dying to kuro from some blades through his chest, then pell surviving probably won't be a problem for the live action. Especially since pell surviving has no significant relevance in the story as of now.

You can use the format argument for sure for pacing as i said before, but like i said, my problem is budget and budget mostly determines cgi quality/visuals/costumes and so on aswell as marketing as you pointed out being lacked. And the Bleach LA didn't deliver a cgi quality and so on for me to say it's better than one piece, because the stories are fine for both, but the quality really makes the difference.

The authors were present for both productions, but they both realise they can't do faithful adaptions due to limits mainly revolving around budget. The fans do most of the marketing anyway but marketing is also a budget problem, about 1/3 to a 1/2 of the budget goes to marketing which means a greater budget should mean a better production/marketing. Which in this case is true for one piece LA.
