Obviously, since this is a Shonen anime Natsu will definitely have the most spectacular fights as the male leading role but Lucy is the Narrator of the show and a main character in her own right. She’s not going to narrate every episode but when a arc ends she always does. Most people forget that Lucy never trained in magic as a child like Natsu, Gray and Erza so it’ll take her a while to progress and become stronger cause she will. It’s all about trusting the process.

For the “hate on fairy tail” that wellz was talking about I can explain since I used to read and love the manga until a certain point. SPOILER WARNING Fairy tail was a great story and it had everything running for it, hell it used to be top 5 in japan in terms of manga sales and in terms of popularity it was reaching big 3 status. But after that tournament arc where the light dude said “ I couldn’t take it anymore” I felt the same cuz the story had reached a point where everything was predictable and dumbed down. Most of the characters in the world lost their agency and the way fights concluded was literally “because of friends” and the combat just stopped making sense. It eventually became a manga just about fan service. It won’t make sense until you reach that arc because everything else leading up to that was banger. That nirvana arc still holds to this day. Fairy tail isn’t bad but it ain’t great either and also, for some people it was just cool to hate it even though they never seen it. If wellz really wants a time capsule of how people felt about the manga I think KOL had a video called fairy tail is trash and he explains why he dropped it. I don’t know if it’s still there cuz that was 10 years ago.

Not gonna lie all these ten wizard saints are ass. Erza is apparently wizard saint level and Natsu is as strong as Erza and then you got 4 other people in fairy tail on the same level as Erza meaning they are all saint level as well. It's 40 episodes in and the power scaling in this anime makes no sense. Look at the 7 great powers from Mushoku Tensei. Just from that one encounter with the dragon god you already get a sense that these great powers are a overpowered af but everything we've seen from the 10 wizard saints so far has been trash. Like these guys are suppose to be the 10 strongest wizards and this is what we get.
