While this wasn’t a casual Bleach episode in terms of direction and plot since it was high priority, It most definitely was in terms of animation for this arc, especially in comparison to what’s coming up next. Regardless this isn’t the final arc as I already explained to you, so no it’s not the conclusion. Since you care about ratings, this episode is higher rated than 1072. Hell, the last episode 18 was higher rated than 1071 as well. Personally, I enjoyed all of these episodes for both series, this one especially the most but I can give credit where credit is due. Also when did I say it was over? Bleach didn’t always have quick fights.

That’s what OG Bleach did and it was criticized and slandered like nobody’s business left and right. Kubo saw that and decided to make things faster paced especially since it’s appropriate for a war arc. There’s a lot of back-to-back fights in this arc so they’re not exactly meant to have any serious buildup or room to breathe in the first place, but they definitely had their time to shine even if it’s relatively short-lived. If anything, the build up to many of these things would be in OG Bleach. Besides that, anything that’s left out of the anime is requested and supervised by Kubo himself for the sake of fine-tuning and trimming down the fluff and comedic scenes that just aren’t needed or appropriate for this arc that was originally in the manga giving it a 2nd chance, especially with all the anime additional scenes making it flow better. Like for Ex, Omeada’s little sister wasn’t stabbed since they wanted to give him more shine by actually being able to protect her, it was said that they were changing it prior to the episode coming out, so if anything they did him better. Compared to most, if not all other adaptations, this is the best so far that Bleach or any other series could’ve possibly gotten and hoped for, and considering we’ve waited nearly a decade I think it’s best just to appreciate it even if it’s not living up to all of our expectations.

That's my problem with this season, it doesn't give these pinnacle moments enough room to breathe and time to shine. It feels fairly rushed and Kubo..should know better by now. Like for example, Renji's fight: He was given HALF the episode to do his fight, that's ridiculous. They cut out an entire chapter of the fight. Renji deserved better and it's a damn shame. I love Bleach, I really do, but as it stands now..it's " Okay ", like it's a somewhat faithful adaptation but it should have been BETTER. They cut out other important scenes in the manga too like BG9 stabbing Omaeda's little sister and him fighting back, getting really serious and still ready to fight knowing he'll just get killed and washed, that was a pinnacle moment for his character..completely gone. Just so fucking unfortunate and hurts to see. It's a bit mid.

To Wellz next Ep as you know is when your favorite character pops off, and supposedly they’re giving it the same level of animation as Yamamoto’s battle but besides that it’s adapting up to 8 to 9 chapters as the entire battle since there’s little dialogue and just fighting, if it was most other anime, it would be a few Eps with one in particular being up to nearly 10, so it’s going to be extremely fast paced as they are snapping with the animation, as well as with episode 21 after that. It’s finally Bleach’s time to show off.
