I don’t even know where to start—this drama never fails to break me every single time I watch it… everything about it is just good, and the acting??? So freaking amazing 😫🤌. And don’t even get me started on the ending—like they went through all that and still didn’t get their happy ending 😭 and plus that song by lee hi…every time I hear that song I just cry so much cuz it reminds me of this drama—such a beautiful song… Also, huge thanks to Ryan and Tiana 🫶🫶! I really really wanted to watch this with you guys, and I cannot express how happy it made me feel seeing you react to it 🥹. Perfect blend of heartbreak and....sry I only remember the heartbreak😭 It is the kind of show that sticks with you because of the complexity of the characters and attention to detail! I feel like this show went on for forever! The time-line takes place in a four to 6 years time period right? Well it felt like it! Whenever I watch this series, I feel this emptiness at the end, like a loneliness and a longing for a better outcome for all the characters... this was so heartwrenching and I truly wish that one alternate ending was released too. To end this chapter I wrote (lol), this was a show that will stand the test of time, for me at least, even though it was an adaptation. THANK YOU GUYS FOR REACTING TO IT❤️❤️❤️❤️

2024-11-05 01:53:00 +0000 UTCThank you guys for sharing your reactions and making it to the end 🫶🏻 It’s been one hell of a journey 😭💗 This drama scarred me initially and I literally needed 3 business days to recover (I feel you Tiana 😭) and even 7 years later, I still cry during the rewatch. This drama is revolutionary in a sense that it literally has you on the edge of your seat and the characters make you so invested. What gives me solace is that the drama is inspired by real historical events so like a tragedy was bound to happen but there’s hope that So and Soo would reunite in the modern world. A quote that sums up this experience is, “Don’t be sad it’s over, smile because it happened”. Regardless of the tragic ending, the osts, cinematography, chemistry and storytelling is so captivating that it withstands the test of time and is a kdrama that you’ll truly never forget.

Thank you so much, I definitely enjoyed rewatching with you🫰🏻 I actually felt sorry to both of you (but esp to weeping Tiana) when I realized once again how tragic they made So-Soo ending. I feel like we haven't warned you enough. This drama was greatly done and produced. So glad you got to see this masterpiece🥹🩷 As some of the comments mentioned (one alao gave a link), there's an unaired scene where So actually met Go Ha Jin (Soo in the present). Only still cuts were released, unfortunately no video. She was crying and he offered his handkerchief to her. That's the only consolation we have right now. I think it's enough to know they did meet in the modern world... though an epilogue (30mins-1hr) would really be aju nice.

Ahahaha the closer to a season 2 we get is when they posted a behind the scene where there was a man handing a handkerchief to Hae soo in the future. They cut the part out. Since then I have been able to rewatch it several times when a channel reacts to it but I still cry so bad.

If you play at 23:13 minute, he describes the scene that was shot. This is the only solace I got after watching this ending.

I'm sooo angry that this drama wasn't huge in Korea, and they just left us like that without season 2 like the chinese version !!! I'm still hoping for it to happen, i can't just watch this chinese version because I'm sooo attached to this cast, it's not the same.
