He was selected as one of Korea’s greatest singers and tragically passed away due to a medical accident. In 1988, he appeared as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Infinite Track (Muhan Gwedo) at the MBC University Song Festival, winning the grand prize and marking his entry into the music industry. He later became a singer who left a lasting mark on Korean music. The song he performed, To You (Geudaeege), is not only the opening theme of the drama Reply 1988 but is also used as a cheer song at prestigious universities across South Korea.
