In short, Yurim ignored Heedo and she was a bitch but looking back a lot of what she said was really toeing the line of being truthful and spiteful. The writers were actually careful about it. I mean, she wasn't lying about the things she said, like people coming and going just to train with her, etc. But also, some of the shit she said was unprovoked fr (Like GIRL. But I kinda miss their back and forth, that was some good conflicting tension ngl) but Heedo/the audience, were only extra hurt/offended bc of how much Heedo idolized her. If Heedo didn't have an idea of her in her head, and if Yurim didn't feel threatened from their past encounter, it would've totally been different. (But then this wouldn't be 2521.) This is why people say to never meet your heroes. 😭🤣

If you guys noticed even in UBS, teachers, workers were male-dominated Heedo’s mom must been thru so much hardship for her daughter well-being, leading to her absence at home (same like yurim & seungwan dad’s & jiwoong mom’s) As mom’s pov, she was seeking heedo’s understanding about her sacrifice & her choice just like jiwoong did for his mom (he never angry every time her mom yells & barely at home either just like heedo’s mom) Regarding moms' attitudes, it's essential to consider the historical context in Asia, after being thru colonialism, the older generation belief in using violence and harsh words as methods of discipline were common. that’s why you can see teachers use violence for misbehaving students, moms using a harsh word, Yijin’s senior behavior when heedo injured.
