QUEEN OF TEARS Ep. 5 REACTION!!

QUEEN OF TEARS Ep. 5 REACTION!!

It’s miscarriage is not the whole reason but it’s the catalyst that starts the downfall of the relationship.

Agreed with all of the above! It also stems from Hyunwoo takes everything of the face value- as in he grew up in household where he has open and clear communication with his family, Haein's family is complete opposite and she grew up fighting for herself because no one else will. There is this disconnect with them because of this, Hyunwoo takes everything that Haein says literally- not diving deeper in to her meaning for example when she lashed out at him saying "I wasn't up all night waiting for you" and when she stated coldly that the baby's room was "annoying her" then she dismissed the conversation by going back to work, he thought that she didn't care- she isn't letting herself be vulnerable with him. They both were hurting so much but they mourned their loss separately and differently- Hyunwoo wasn't really ready to let go, and Haein wanted to completely remove anything that reminded her of their loss. When it came to the post-kiss incident, Haein was right to be pissed off at Hyunwoo, but what I didn't like is the fact she let Eun Soong touch/hold her in front of her husband. To me, even if she was pissed off at Hyunwoo I wish she had drawn a clear line with Eunsoong because that is disrespectful to her husband. So we see Haein throughout the episode putting up her walls with Hyunwoo, to the point where he finds out from Aunt Beomja that she went to Germany- she didn't even tell him that she was going! When he called her she didn't even answer, so I understand why he didn't run after her to Germany right away- the guy thought she didn't want him around her. For people reading my comment, please don't feel like I'm picking sides because I'm not- I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH but I understand both of their points and that's why I wanted to bring up Hyunwoo's POV bc relationships aren't always one-sided. It takes two people to make it work, and that's why I am Team BaekHong 😊

This type of fallout after a miscarriage is waaaaay more common than you think. Especially super early in a marriage. As soon as the miscarriage was revealed immediately got what happened. They had never really established good communication so they just completely missed each other. With their grief clouding their judgement. Hyunwoo think that Hae In doesn't care and is being callous. While Hae In was just kind of stone walling him as a defence mechanism. It was so early in the marriage that they didn't really have a great foundation for something as monumental as this. I think the stat is like 25% of couples break up after a miscarriage. And then when you let the room for distance and lack of communication , it can be easy to grow even more cold and distant and the things that you were willing to tolerate become less and less like how rough the family dynamic is. Also Have In is afraid to be vulnerable and let Hyunwoo in and He is to immature but also grief stricken to penetrate her defences and get her to open up. So they resent each other with Hae In wanting to be embraced despite her walls and Hyunwoo to fight for her but he doesn't. But Hae In is also n to meeting him halfway. So it just becomes a mess. I personally haven't lost baby but know a few people have and it takes a toll on even the strongest of relationships, so I get what it would rock a newlywed couple that also didn't date for that long prior to getting married.

Regarding their baby's miscarriage, I think their way of coping with pain was just the opposite. Haein thought that if she kept putting baby things next to her, she wouldn't be able to live, and Hyunwoo couldn't let the baby go, so he had to keep them by his side. It would have been different if communication had been made about their completely opposite personalities, but Haein was not used to expressing them, so she reacted rather coldly, and Hyunwoo was frustrated for this. Of course, if this alone made Hyunwoo treat Haein cold, as Tiana said, he was really wrong. But you know, it's been three years. A lot of things happen between friends even during the only one year of our school life during the day. Furthermore, they are a couple, and the lack of communication would have gradually accumulated in their hearts, starting from trivial things to big events throughout the three years, which would eventually explode. In this episode, Hyunwoo and Haein became to feel in love with each other again, although they denied it with their heads. However, Haein, who was hurt by Hyunwoo's saying (of course, this is Hyunwoo's fault), left for Germany without asking why or trying to talk, again. And then frustrated Hyunwoo fully realized his mind through Haein's interview, went to Germany and finally opened up with Haein. I understand Tiana's mind, judges Hyunwoo only by the big events shown in the drama, but please don't hate him too much. This is the fault of both of them, not the problem of either, and the drama shows the process of these two growing up and understanding each other.

I can’t view it but I already change to gold and I’m so excited to watch your reaction🫶🏻

Why can’t I access your KDrama reactions anymore? I believe I’m on the Gold tier.

Oh finally, and actually yes I do agree with Tiana tbh he's just been a red flag to me the moment he blamed her for the whole pregnancy thing and made her feel like it's her fault! He may have his moment but he is just dumb and selfish most of the time, I really do wish we see a way more progress in his character in the upcoming episodes or otherwise I wouldn’t even blame her if she decides to leave him in the end because that what he deserves.

but yeah one thing that kind of doesn't make sense to me is how selfless and empathetic hyunwoo is to everyone and that same man really plotted to wait before his wife died and get her money?? that's a bit much lol but ig its for the plot lmao

bengi

idk I don't think there was a specific one reason, I think it's more likely that like Tiana said they have very different personalities/way of dealing with things and as they were spending less time together, they drifted apart and started making assumptions about each other. And Hyunwoo, not understanding Haeins emotions as she's not the type to let ppl in, started resenting her and as they stopped communicating the misunderstandings just build up. Ofc things like the miscarriage and chaebol family added to it all. Just my take on it tho
