Pup suffers from severe nightmares and runs into Thorne’s bedroom, begging her to allow him to stay with her for the night. The Doctor is reluctant until she notices how distraught he is. She can’t bring herself to send him back to his room. Instead, she offers to use her special abilities to delve into his nightmares and explore his subconscious mind, so that she may have a better understanding of what he is going through. Dr.Thorne quickly learns how horrifying his nightmares truly are, while getting a glimpse of pup’s cruel upbringing with his former Master, Octavian Carver.
