Android Users Poll: Quality of the Images and Menus

Dear Android Users:
I would love to get some feedback from you on how you're finding BBN on your devices. Putting together an Android build for a Ren'Py game involves a few extra steps as well as some special considerations, not the least of which is the relatively more limited amount of storage space on an Android device. I've tried to keep the size of the BBN Android build down by increasing compression of the images, but this does result in a lack of detail and fidelity compared to the PC/Mac builds.
Another issue is the size of the fonts and UI. Quite frankly, I've done very little to customize the UI for Android except to lock off the ability to create custom save game names (when I added it, the keyboard often blocked the players entire screen and made it impossible to actually save the game) and not enabling the gallery feature.

2024-03-01 14:38:03 +0000 UTCEverything looked great! Only problem for me was the menu buttons that line the bottom of the screen were very difficult to press. However, that may be due to my phone (Motorola Razor) with the edges of the phone being bumped up! Maybe slightly larger icons at the bottom or moved up a touch (if other people have this "problem" as well!) It didn't affect the enjoyability though, just made it annoying to save and roll back if I wanted to change my answer to something!

2024-02-21 15:10:42 +0000 UTCAs for storage size it shouldn't be an issue these days. Most tablets and phones come with at least 256gb of space and it's not like we ever use it for anything.
