Artist Shout-Out

I wanted to take a minute to give a shout-out to a couple of other artists creating M/M content. I'm a big believer in supporting other artists, partly because other VN developers dedicated space on their Discord servers for me to share information about BBN when it launched but also because I think we all benefit from a strong community. So, I wanted to give a shout-out to two different developers today:  Anxious Adam of Apollo Studios and co-creator of the VN Hollow, and Magnus L. Alexander who is developing the Beneath a Lustrous Moon comic.

Anxious Adam -- My "Unsung" Hero for 2023

I've known Adam for probably a year or so now, and we are both members of a Discord server dedicated to helping other developers of queer visual novels. In late December, I was lamenting on the server how difficult it had become to pose characters in the 3D rendering tool we use and how none of the posts on the support forums had been helpful. 

The issue made creating renders incredibly tedious and was really slowing me down and I'd been struggling with it for close to a year. During that year, nobody had been able to come up with a solution and, as I lamented the situation on our Discord server, I didn't expect anyone would be coming up with anything new. However, Adam suggested toggling a setting for each of the models and, low and behold... IT WORKED! 

And, it's not just me. Adam has been happy to help other developers with advice, feedback and links to sales for the 3D assets we need to create our VNs. Adam helps Blayke of Apollo Studios with various things but his big contribution is as co-creator of Hollow, a VN about a guy stuck in the veil between life and death. Magnus L. Alexander -- Author of Beneath a Lustrous Moon comic

I stumbled across this dude through a mutual social media group leaning into eroticism around werewolves, and he posted a link to a Kickstarter project I think many of you will be interested in. You can read all about it over on Kickstarter but, in short, he is an establish Patreon creator who is now making his first erotic werewolf comic called Beneath a Lustrous Moon. The issue is a mixture of comics and illustrated erotic stories. 

As a special treat for my Patrons, Magnus was kind enough to send me some very NSFW preview images that you won't find on Kickstarter. Unfortunately, as this post is public, I'll be posting those separately just for Patrons due to Patreon's own rules about NSFW content, but here is one of the SFW images he has shared.

Personal Update

Finally, a quick personal update. I made it through the holidays in relatively good shape and made some progress on BBN during the vacation. Unfortunately, I was also hoping to set aside some time this last weekend to work through it but have been stuck in bed due to a horrible cold. But, I think we are looking at the next update for BBN being released later this month or in February.
