Sneak Peek: Chapter 14 (SFW)

As I mentioned in the last monthly progress update, I have more or less finished writing the first draft for the first part of this chapter. Having hit a small bit of writers block on the remaining loose ends, I switched gears to begin working on scenes and testing out some initial renders for this update.
Here is the first, this one from the sequence when Alex wakes up in Mayhew's tower. (An alternative opening sequence will have Alex back at his apartment.) This is the only SFW image for this particular scene, and will drop some NSFW images for the Hunter+ tiers this afternoon.
One of the other scenes I was testing was the cabin. Unfortunately, once I dropped the four characters I'm going to need for that part of the story into the scene, my graphics card had a fit. Even after running some utilities to free up resources and memory, I was still clunky as hell. Is it doable? Yes, but only barely. This has me thinking I'm going to need to invest in a 3090 or 4090 GPU very soon in order to get that 24 GB of VRAM. While that is a bit frustrating (particularly given that the scalpers are getting all the new inventory), but also one of the reasons why I rely on all of your support for this project.
