Progress Update (Nov. 2022)

Well, I just realized the calendar has ticked over to December and I neglected to get you an end of month update. Sorry about that, but let me remedy that for you now!

BBN Update

Obviously, Build 0.10 with Chapter 13 dropped for Early Access about two weeks ago on November 16, with a technical update to the build released on the 18th. Since then, I've been making some adjustments to the GUI and Main Menu (previewed over on Twitter), started an alternative social media account on Hive, made adjustments to Alex's model as well as a few very minor tweaks to some of of the other models, outlined the rest of BBN's story through to its four conclusions, and, oh yes... I've been writing. And writing. And writing.

The script for the next chapter is currently at 846 lines and, I'm estimating, is only about halfway finished in terms of what I have planned for the chapter. For reference, Chapter 13 was about 1,000 lines of script before adding in code for the images and audio.

Now, I don't want to go another three months between updates. So, what I think I'm going to do is get this chapter written to a solid mid-point, then break that into two smaller builds or releases. This may mean the first build I release is strictly narrative, the second release has more of an emphasis on some explicit scenes that will be unlocked based on prior choices (one branch is with Connor, the other is with Nick), and then the third release will wrap up the chapter with Alex back in Mayhew's lab and starting his research.

A Personal Reflection

I've been working on BBN now for almost two years. During that time, I've been able to talk with a lot of you on here, but also on Twitter and especially on Discord. I'm very proud of the community we've managed to build. Of course, I love hearing about how much folks are enjoying BBN; that's huge! 

But it has also been a genuine honor getting to talk with so many of you and just have this supportive, caring community. Maybe some people will think it's weird we've built that out of a "porn game," but we have people from all over the world with a range of life experiences, and we're starting from a place of positivity, fun and respect... and that's a great place to begin.

Anyway, that's it for now! I hope to have some sneak peek renders available for y'all soon, and I've got some ideas for some one-off Patron Exclusives (did someone say football?).
