BtS: Depth of Field

One of the options available in the rendering software I use is to apply a Depth of Field setting to the camera. It's a great tool for adding some realism to an image and subtly encouraging the player to focus on a certain area. It's also finicky and something I don't use as often as I could.
But with Chapter 12, I'm spending some extra time on setting up the scenes. As Alex exits his apartment with his escort, this is the scene he is presented with. You can see in the first image there is no depth of field and too much light. In the second, I've adjusted the lighting and (after four attempts) found a set of Depth of Field settings I'm happy with. The bushes, trees and far side of the square are blurred while the guard and limo are in focus.
This isn't the first time I've used Depth of Field in images for BBN, but I thought this was a scene in which it really added something.
Before: No Depth of Field (and too much light)

After: With Depth of Field and adjusted light
