Poll: Would you like more backstory for Alex?

Over on another site, I received a request and some feedback, suggesting that it might be nice to have more backstory for Alex. There was a feeling that, as a character, he wasn't as fleshed out as some of the other characters we're seeing.
To be honest, that has been intentional and very much by design. I have wanted to give just enough background to Alex to help set the stage for how he has found himself in this situation but, beyond that, leave him as something of a blank slate so that you, the players, didn't feel shoe-horned into a character perspective that just didn't resonate with you. I also wanted to leave this open a little bit in case any of the antediluvian backers opted for a character that had a prior-existing relationship with Alex.
But, maybe that was a miscalculation on my part! So, I'm curious. Would you like to have a better understanding of who Alex is? His history, old friends? Let me know!
If there is a strong interest in having a richer understanding of Alex, I'll look at some ways to do that.

While that may be absolutely true from a literary perspective and even for a liner video game it isn’t the same for an RPG where MC is pretty much the player. The Dragonborn for instance is not Peter Parker nor is the Courier the same as Link the Hero of Time. We also got precious little on Inquisitor Trevelyan (or whoever your DA Inquisition MC was) as was so with much of the DA series but significantly more with Cloud and Squall. While it may be an interesting writing prompt to come up with backstory for Alex as an exercise. I think the most I would suggest putting in game is what you saw in Fallout 4. Enough to establish key moments for Alex beyond med school, but that’s it. And even then, only if it comes up later, otherwise it’s a distraction I feel.
