Status Update on Build 0.4 (as of May 1)

Before I get into the details, here is some context:  Build 0.2 was a quick update turned around in two weeks as a "thank you" for early backers. Build 0.3 was a more substantial update that more doubled the size of the game from ~2,000 lines of code to slightly less than 4,000. Build 0.4 is more than double the size of Build 0.3, both in terms of lines of code and images.

What's coming in the next build?

Build 0.4 will have two new chapters. These chapters will be a little different than the ones I've previously released in that Chapter 7 is going to have a decision resulting in two possible paths (I hope you try them both). Compared to previous chapters, Chapter 8 will be massive and include an optional lunch date with the new character. (I wouldn't skip it, but you can if you want.) Following the lunch date, Alex has an important meeting that could decide his future. 

Somewhere in all of this is going to be sex... a lot of sex. Chapter 7 is going to open with an explicit scene that gets back at some of the horror elements in the game, then the subsequent sex scenes are going to start to delve more deeply into the Dom/sub roles... but also how the sub can still assert power.

How big is it?

Let's break out the tape measure.

Build 0.3 was just a hair under 4000 lines of coding and dialogue in it. As of April 3, the first draft of the dialogue is complete with the story-critical menus finished. Before adding images, this is coming in at 6200+ lines -- that's 2200+ lines of pure dialogue and branching menu choices.

Further, I've staged and rendered almost 700 images and I'm about 80% of the way through the script and more still need to be rendered and added to the game.

When is it coming?

Current projection is early May.
