What's planned for the next update (0.2a)?

Progress on the first post-launch update is going well, both in terms of new content and my own technical proficiency. Here is a quick summary of the more significant updates (and what might be possible as a stretch):
- Chapter 2. While this will be shorter in length than Chapter 1, it introduces two new characters and contains the first choices that will have an impact on the ending of the game.
- Revised shots for the Prologue. With the early show of support I've been receiving here on Patreon, I've felt confident enough to invest more money in 3D assets. This includes several environments for the hospital where Alex works, so I've redone the shots with Alex and his supervisor.
- Revised shots for the Chapter 1 Cliffhanger. If you've played the demo, you know the sequence I'm talking about. As my technical proficiency with the 3D software has improved, I've learned more about using light and shadows. These shots were completely redone and I think significantly improve the visual quality and impact of the scene.
The next release may also include Chapter 3. Chapter 3 is going to involve a lot of internal monologue from one of the characters and conversations with other characters who are "off screen." I've got some ideas on how to keep that visually engaging, but there are some technical challenges. I have a plan for addressing them, but it involves additional rendering time and labor composing the final scenes that you see in the game.
There are also a host of other minor tweaks and updates. Some are technical or correcting typos that I continue to find, while others are minor tweaks to the dialogue that better set the stage for the future or are better informed by the research I'm doing along the way. All of these will be listed in the final changelog.
This release will first be available to patrons at the Hunter tier ($5) and above, then release to the public one month later.
Finally, I thought I'd share with you a shot that I like but wound up on the cutting room floor. I'm not using it for a few a few reasons, but I thought it was decent enough (and showed a progression of the artwork) that it was worth sharing.

Have a great weekend and I'll see you next week!
