Thanks, and Timeline for the Next Update
Added 2021-02-08 13:29:53 +0000 UTCCompared to other visual novels that have been in development for much longer, it is just a fact that Bound By Night — having just gone public less than 48 hours ago — is comparatively short. So, for people to be pledging their support now (including one person at the Antediluvian tier!!) before this game has a track record of updates and new content, means a lot.
Of course, it is hugely appreciated as a show of support and a validation that I’m onto something that other people are enjoying and want to see more of. That is HUGE and I can’t thank my patrons enough.
But, it’s more than just me saying “thanks.” It’s a relationship. As a patron of other creators, I know funds aren’t unlimited; pledging your support for something that isn’t even finished means the game connected with you in some way. And, honestly, while I’m incredibly proud of that, it’s also quite humbling.
So, I’m going to make my own pledge to the patrons signing up this first month based on little more than a free demo. I want you early supporters to have something tangible in the way of my appreciation.
The next update will be released to patrons at the Hunter and higher tiers by the end of this month. Partly, it’s my way of saying thanks for your early support, but I also want to give you a way to judge whether you want to continue to support the game and at what level.
Obviously, I hope you decide “HELL YES!” 😁 But I want to build that relationship with you (and future patrons) by creating a solid foundation and give you confidence in what you’re choosing to support.
