Patreon Fee Changes for New Memberships on iOS
Added 2024-08-30 05:25:30 +0000 UTCPatreon and Apple have made the frustrating decision to start charging people purchasing new memberships through the Patreon iOS app an extra 30% fee starting November 4th, 2024. This will only affect new memberships, standing memberships will not be affected. This extra fee can be avoided by purchasing new memberships through methods that are not the iOS app such as a mobile web browser, desktop browser or Android. Only the app from the Apple app store will charge the extra fee, so iOS mobile users can purchase through the web browser on their phone and not incur the fee.

Needless to say, I'm not a fan of these changes, but drawing a dommy mommy was a fun way to channel my frustrations.
