On bagnold, could be either since she was responsible for Sirius getting thrown into Azkaban without even a trial while letting numerous others get off with claims of being under the imperius curse, I can't imagine she wasn't cozying up at least somewhat in that sort of context

A part of me wants Harry to just go berserk and slaughter all those bigoted purebloods. But that would make it too easy and boring. I'm eager to see how he acquits himself in the trial, I hope he at least puts some of that trash in their place. I always had the impression of Minister Bagnold as someone who was too weak and ineffectual, not someone who cozied up to rich purebloods like her successor. But I suppose some creative license can be taken with her character considering we know nothing about her in canon.
