Announcements, audio chapters, and a poll!
Added 2025-09-15 16:13:41 +0000 UTCThanks for feedback on how awful it is when audio files are attached directly to the chapters. Won't do that again! Last week's audio files are attached below, and I'll be removing the ones directly embedded.
On to the announcement: Book 3 is now live on Amazon! We found a ton of little changes to make based on feedback, corrections, and while creating the audio, so its worth a second read if that's your thing. (Creating the audio was crazy fun!; we hope some of you give it a listen. We fell in love with the voices after only a few chapters and now, we can't get enough of them.)
Big news out of the way, we're a bit stumped on how to move forward with actually posting the audio. Turns out that Amazon, Audible, etc. only accepts AI narrations if you use their program to do it, which isn't as high quality and they demand hefty royalties. So, all the work we've done can't be posted on Amazon... Well, screw them!
We're going to add a link to the description on Amazon to bring people directly to Patreon so they can listen here. However, we can't give our many, many hours of work and paying for the program/copyrights away for free... Hence, the poll below.
Please take a moment to vote, and leave comments if you have suggestions or improvements we can make. Definitely want to hear your opinions as this will hopefully be a huge step in supporting our family.

Yes, the current model of giving out newest chapters in voice for free was never going to be viable in the long run. We wanted to see how receptive people were to the quality though, and get feedback, which was incredibly valuable. Worth!

That would also allow you to track how many people listen to your books, adjust the price per book if your production costs change, and if it's worth your effort to create the audio based upon audio book sales. Pay per chapter models get annoying (at least to me) and your flat one-time fee risks diminishing returns if you need to keep refining which software you use to achieve your ideal.
