I hope you're all enjoying the new story as much as I am. It's certainly divulged from the original quite a bit by this point and that's not going to stop.
Emperor tier is only one chapter away from the promised twenty chapters ahead and my next goal (which should take a week) is to get that tier to 30 chapters ahead.

Thank you for the feedback! I spent about an hour this morning thinking of ways I could improve the combat so your input is perfectly timed.

2023-05-15 16:13:48 +0000 UTCFinally caught up with the new version of the story, I think it is slightly better than the original. I like the idea that status and skills are like training wheels. I also like all the new interactions between characters. What I did not like are some of the combat scenes, MC knows that he won’t die and we all know he won’t die because he is MC. So spending whole chapter on combat description when there are no stakes seems a bit pointless. And I don’t mean the parts where he is trying to apply the knowledge, those are actually interesting, but parts which are describing how he dodged this or that are basically a filler. Maybe if few side characters were involved as well it would fix the problem (because we could worry about them). Another problem I see are attributes, basically all his attributes are always growing equally and have the same cap, which does not feel very realistic. It would mean that everyone has basically same body and there are no differences between individuals. It would make more sense if everyone had their own starting caps for each attribute and value of 10 would be starting racial cap. This would also help when/if you introduce the beastman race again. But I guess it would be a hassle to change things at this point. I guess you could say there is hidden base value for everyone so that 10 strength does not means the same thing for different people.
