2026-02-28 06:08:17 +0000 UTCI wonder how all the humans not from the Azure Hills, viewing the crystal, feel about the humans working with the spirit beasts in harmony. Also wasn't Koming (sp) the one who was taken over by a demon?

2026-02-26 07:52:17 +0000 UTCWhen the formation reversed, flipping all the elemental alignments, it shattered Tianlan’s dragon veins. Pale moon lake was probably the most devastated area, creating a ‘void’ at the bottom similar to the Wastes. In the aftermath, she lost all her subordinate spirits. Fast forward a few thousand years and people have worshiped the Lake as a spirit, but with Tianlan Out of Commission, it couldn’t form. Currently, the General and Pale Moon are her only spirits, but more could definitely be made.

2026-02-25 01:34:55 +0000 UTCI really like the names of Kongming and Shenguashi. Confucius and Mythic story respectively. It really accentuates their place in the story.

2026-02-25 00:57:31 +0000 UTCSo, is the void the thing that kept Pale Moon from manifesting as a spirit, or was it the lack of connection to Tianlan? Or both? Are there other spirits out there that just need to be hooked up to the power grid, or even just nascent spirits (tied to local belief systems) that can be birthed?

2026-02-24 20:22:41 +0000 UTCSomebody in the last chapter's comment section hypothesized that it's possible the demons have had some role in propagandizing against the Path of Shennong. Possibly by subtly emphasizing it's already unpopular qualities (e.g. not being able to pursue immortality/path ending in death, dumping all your power into the land, etc.) that much more sinister and undesirable to cultivators. And, I assume, playing some role in suppressing knowledge about the path in general. The demons' goals being to weaken one of the greatest impediments to their mission of draining the provinces (and thus the world) of qi for their home realm. How much influence the Demons have had in this regard, imo, would likely be minimal, because of how CF has leaned into Jin and Tianlan's bond being a significant divergence from the "proper" Path of Shennong. But , iirc, there was that one vision/memory of Shennong teaching where Shennong seemed to "see" Jin and Tianlan and give some tacit approval? I'm not sure if that means Shennong approves of their adaptation of his path because he realized that there was/is a flaw in his teachings or, if not exactly that, he approves of an adaptation/evolution in his teachings to match the needs of the time and place? And now I'm rambling, but it was a fun a fun thought experiment for me. Shutting up now lol

2026-02-24 18:28:12 +0000 UTCHoly crap CF, you keep putting banger after banger of a chapter out. You make it SO HARD to pick a favorite when you constantly out do yourself... It's such a great problem to have!! Which is why this is hands down my favorite series, never change! 🥰 I'm loving the introduction of Huibai Yue and the fleshing out of the Crimson Phoenix Emperor. Although, calling the CP Emperor "Big E" is making me worry about possible parallels to the other "Big E"... Please lean towards the TTS version rather than the WH40K OG!!! *Kowtowing in advance* 🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️

2026-02-24 18:17:44 +0000 UTCI can’t stop imagining a scene of a prim and proper scholar reporting to the Emperor, weary from weeks of tribulation in the wasteland. He reports a voice that haunted them, a faint echo that would fade occasionally, only to return-a wave of sound cresting and falling continuously in the darkness. His lord asks the obvious question, and he must look him in the eye and say “The voice said it was going to bestow an eternity of spankings unto the void, Your Radiant Eminence, Son of Heaven.”

2026-02-24 17:02:07 +0000 UTCA wonderful chapter, adorable spirits achieving fulfillment. I do have something I want to say unrelated to this chapter though: I hope the thing about being unable to walk the path of shennong if you know about it is a misunderstanding, because it sounds dumb. Like, it being *harder* to have the purity of intent required if you know about it makes sense, but it being literally impossible to start the path eyes open or stumble into it if you've already heard about it is just... why?

2026-02-24 16:52:05 +0000 UTCbig e could be talking about the quotes or the spirit.

2026-02-24 16:14:23 +0000 UTCThe treatises may not be interesting to cultivators, but the Emperor is going to see exactly HOW much beeswax can be produced and the efficacy of the other techniques, and will want to raise Jin to noble status--AGAIN, lol! Like in the BOC AU! And this time, the House of Hong is involved--about time Hong Xian gets some real influence, lol!

2026-02-24 15:52:37 +0000 UTC“The man’s quotes had been eloquent, yet direct and to the point. A great piece to have as a servant.” I’m guessing it should be “a great person to have…” rather than “piece”
