Please note its extremely WIP nature, most of the names are placeholders.

2024-12-23 02:51:13 +0000 UTCMinor quibble: when the Soaring Heavenly Isles airship was flying to help Gramps, it was described as flying across the Howling Fang Mountains, then over Pale Moon Lake ... then was ordered to CONTINUE North to Verdant Hill. But thr HFM is East of the Azure Hills. I understand that even with flying they might not fly straight there, they need landmarks and there are air currents. But when the ship flys of PML City, shouldn't it TURN North?

Shen Yu mention it contained knowledge of the arrays empowering the current Phoenix emperor. But this confuses me : The vast Empire & it's royal castle is a separate entity from the Azure hills, no? and the memory crystal contains only Local knowledge of the hills. so why would it seem like emperor of old took over the the royal castle of the azure and claimed it as his home?

It was mentioned that when the empire came accross it after the demons were driven back that the area was the biggest self contained area ever seen and they were excited to see what wonders laid in store, but then it was an qi void.

With how long cultivators can live and them being the ones in power, they are still in that few generations thing. Isn't the current Phoenix Emporer like the 3rd, meaning following the British/Roman pattern he should mostly be good but the next one is in trouble of major upset (ignoring story potential changing things). However I could be wrong on my RL history if so feel free to correct me.

Now imagine an empire the size of our world were myriad of culture and even worse the ego's of cultuvators are all pulling at its seams for recources. The army would be continiously deployed to stomp down rebellions. And its not a matter of sects (plural!) Of immortal butocrats (i want to see that DAO that compels them to that job). Its a manpower broblem. Look at the US/China/Russia all of them are large countiies in the modern age that have burocacies that devour massive amounts of their own output. Now imagine one the size of earth stuck in feudal times.

It had dots for everything you mentioned except the Empire's Capital. I have no idea where in the entire empire that's located.

2024-12-11 03:34:20 +0000 UTCI have been wondering about the Azure Jade Expedition. Why do they treat it as if they are going to foreign and unexplored lands? Aren't they simply going to other provinces? Chyou even mentioned going through sea to the south, but I have always found it strange. Shouldn't it be a caravan through land to the provinces in the south? There's just no way that they are trying to be going to another continent. They could not possibly survive that voyage with only mortals and low-level cultivator guards. Besides, there should be no reason to go as far as another continent when the Azure Hills is a small part of the Empire and there's a huge variety of produce in other lands, as evidenced in how Xiulan got the potatoes from Yellow Rock Plateau and Bi De got a lot of berries, fruits, and vegetables from the Howling Fang Mountains. I'm guessing the plan for that expedition is to go along the Western Coast to reach the southern provinces?

For river it is even more visible, they have confluences, and basins, they are not a single squiggly string. That they have no such things here can make us think that it is indeed a small island with little rivers.

2024-12-10 03:29:14 +0000 UTCIf that is one continent and encompasses the entire land mass of Earth which is 30% of the entire surface area of the earth, considering if he decides to make 5 continents that are roughly equivalent in size, then add let's say, 50% of the surface area is water, it would make that world 3 times the size of earth. Which would be reasonable and still somewhat acceptable scientifically. The whole problem with making a planet the size of Jupiter is that the gravity of a planet that size would make it impossible for land animals to survive on that world. Even being gas, Jupiter has a gravity that is 2.5 times the strength of earth. If it had solid throughout the crust, mantle, and core, it would have a gravity 300 times the strength of earth. Meaning the air pressure would be 300 times what ours is, and water pressure also. Basically, only plants would be able to exist on that planet. Movement would be too difficult for insects and animals. Even muscle with the same tensile strength as spider silk wouldn't be anywhere near strong enough to walk around on the surface.

I know that was when you were talking about the expansion of the empire to the entire continent, but weren't there still places that bordered the demon lands? I thought that was where Shen Yu went to fight that one imperial level demon before he got to go see Jin....

2024-12-09 22:12:44 +0000 UTCLooks HUGE to me, lol. Zoom in on the Azure Hills. Its such a tiny little section, and it contains most of the big cities and places we have read about. It has a sea of grass that takes mortals multiple days of travel to cross. The breadth of the province takes multiple weeks to cross. And its so teeny tiny. By that scale, it would take multiple years to reach the other end of the continent in just a 1 way trip. Easily 2 or 3, if not more, just 1 way, based off the travel times we have been told for within the Azure Hills.

I knew the Azure Hills was a smaller out of the way place, but that is SO small compared to the rest lol. And it takes weeks for a mortal to travel just the AHs, let alone the rest of that massive kingdom? Goddamn. I suppose Xixania worlds are always either mind bogglingly huge or head scratchingly tiny (in which case it turns out to be a cage/nursery/etc usually). Whats-her-face with the whats-their-face-trading-company gonna have their work cut out for em on that exploratory journey south.
