The Patreon is once again active!

Billing has been officially unpaused. Prices have been halved and old members whose memberships ended during the billing pause can once again edit their pledges to become full fledged members once more.

Now, here's a few things to expect for the future.

First, I plan to leave the Patreon pricing like this for the foreseeable future. Regardless of what happens, I don't plan on changing prices, pausing billing, or unlaunching the page.

Second, I urge all members who have subscribed through the Patreon App on IOS to double check their subscription method. Previously, those with Apple who subscribed on the app were forced to pay Apple fees upwards of something like 30%. This led to the price rising, however, I had the option to either charge subscribers more or cover the cost myself to make up the difference. I opted for the latter, but with the recently settled lawsuits between Epic Games and Apple, Apple is no longer allowed to force users to go through their own purchasing systems and pay those fees.

For Apple users, you now have the option to change how Patreon purchases go through, opting out of Apple's system and getting rid of the ridiculous fees. I encourage all Apple users to do so, not that it will change whether or not I cover the cost. It's just a simple recommendation to bypass a greedy corporation's fee.

Now, for the third thing.

I will be leaving for 4 weeks on July 8th. I will be attempting to create a backlog of chapters that I can set on a timed release before that day comes, which is also why I haven't been doing double releases. We will see how that goes, but just know that I won't be present. After that, I'll be back like normal, although starting not too long after, I'll be busy once again. I will keep everyone updated on the changes and whether it will affect releases.

I'm glad I was able to do something nice despite the news that I won't have the free time I once did. I'm also sorry for all the members who got their subscription cancelled during the billing pause and were unable to access the chapters for a time. Hopefully all issues are resolved now, so I hope everyone can enjoy the recent big developments in the story.
