How Growing on YT Has Changed Me 😳 The Felka Behind the Scenes...

I'd like to very candidly share what it's like going from 900 subscribers to over 44,000 in under a year...

1. I'm sure you've seen the hate comments, too.

 Everyone for the most part is doggone lovely. Supportive comments about how helpful the audios are and how good my accent is literally make my day. They are often the reason I choose to continue making new audios. Hoo-wee! You guys really are my internet friends and I truly cherish the conversations we have... but here and then we get a few bad apples...

You may have seen a few hate comments recently! I was surprised to start seeing them, but naturally it is a normal thing for the internet, of course. That is one thing I have noticed, is that with having a growing Youtube community... people feel emboldened to say the not-so nice. I think they think maybe I won't see it? Or that the creator is deserving of judgment just because they make content? 

For example, last week a troll replied to a comment saying that they liked an audio... "really, man? She isn't even in the top 5 ASMR creators..." and then he listed the top 5 asmrtists on Youtube. Woah, woah! Slow down there, buck-o! I'm so flattered that you would even mentioned the top 5 creators when my name is mentioned!?! Honestly, I'm blushing. ://) Haha, but in all seriousness? I'm in it for the story, the art, the community. It's interesting seeing people comment negatively about how many subscribers we have. It's never been about that in the first place.

At any rate, I welcome the hate with open arms. Why? >:) I can either learn something from them and grow for all of you OR I can grow a thicker skin for when I inevitably take over planet Earth. Mwahahaha! 😈

2. More lovely comments, same amount of felka time

A big reason why I dropped down from 2 videos a week to 1 a week (+2 bonus audios for you guys! :D) was that I wanted all the time I needed to message YOU! With more subscribers comes more messages/comments. And if I've messaged you, you can rest assured knowing it WAS ACTUALLY ME :D It's important for me that you know that I'm so grateful for you. Without you, I wouldn't have a reason to keep making the audios! So thank you to the moon and back for watching, commenting, and staying plugged in to our conversation. You rock.

P.S. This was initially going to be spoken in a behind-the-scenes video... but my voice is completely shot ':( I sound like a rainstick being dragged along a gravel road every time I speak, so I have not uttered a single word for the past 3 days and I've forgotten the sound of my own voice. xD (I got sick while hiking in the mountains on vacation last week and what can I say? Don't be surprised if you see some delays in audios coming to Youtube... I kind of need my voice to do what I do 😅 Don't worry, Patreon-exclusives are all ready to go for December! :D).
