Once we're satisfied with that, it's time to stick in the characters as per the script. These always start with some very rough storyboarding, because we refine them as we go along. Here's the first pass -
And after some discussion on revisions, we settled on this -
Once the (mostly) finished roughs are completed, it's time to stick in those bubbles -
These bubbles are then overlaid on top of the image as Nutria works further to ink and color the page. Sorry, no sneak peeks on the actual dialogue; you wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, right?
