Deep Mine boss progress update

Heya!

I had some additional problems with the boss gameplay mechanics, but I found a fix!

The problem was the way I had set up the boss. He is invulnerable until you destroy his ice armor and I wanted the armor to be "seperate enemies" whose HP you'd need to get to 0. So, I put the armor enemies on top of the boss but they just appeared behind the boss sprite and there was no way to change that... Apparently the bottom edge (where the health bar appears) determines if they appear on top or behind something. The lower the HP bar the more "front" the enemy is.

The solution was to make the actual boss a "background" image. But then I found the problem I had to deal with. I actually needed the boss to do attacks! I couldn't do that if the boss was just a background image.

The solution to THAT was that I had to make a new enemy who was invisible and untargetable, until it changed into the actual boss when you destroyed the armor. It would do the bosses attacks until all the armor was off.

It took a few hours of trying different things until I got that to work, but it works now ;O;!!!!

I had to install a new plug-in to help with the untargetable state, I tried to set everything so that it wouldn't mess with anything else, tested it and it should all work.

So I redrew the character and redesigned it a bit. Now his silhouette is more clear and the armor pieces look way more identifiable without blocking anything or each other.

Damn thats cool and the boss is hot af. It would be funny if u made him laughably tanky as well. So more then double the tankiness of the tentacle boss in water dungeon. With the amount of dmg in the game its doable ngl
