Episode 3 - Status update

Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to give you a more in-depth update on where things stand with Episode 3. It’s been a long and challenging journey, but I’m really happy with the progress so far. I think you will be too once you see it all come together.

First of all, I’m really happy to say that all the art is almost done! That includes character art, environments, and all the other visuals. I’m proud of how everything looks, and I hope you’ll enjoy exploring this next chapter.

I’ve also sent out all the tasks to the voice actors, and many of them have already started recording their lines. However, I need to mention something important and honestly a bit disappointing. I wasn’t able to reach a few of the original voice actors, which means some characters will have different voices in this episode. Trust me, this is not something I take lightly. I know how much voices contribute to a character’s personality and how jarring it can be when something changes. It’s a sad situation for me personally, and I know it might be a bit sad for some of you as well. But unfortunately, there’s not much I can do in this case. Life happens, people get busy or move on, and I respect that. I’ve done my best to find new actors who can step in and do justice to the roles, and I hope you’ll give them a chance.

Right now, I’m currently working on the phone content, including things like character messages and visuals for Instacum. It’s always a fun but time-consuming part of development, as I try to make every little detail feel authentic and entertaining. These side features really help build the world and give extra life to the characters, and I want to make sure they feel just as polished as the rest of the game.

As for music and sound effects, this part is almost finished as well. Thankfully, it didn’t take too much time since I already had a pretty large library of music and SFX from previous episodes. I didn’t have to record or find much new material, so it was mostly a matter of organizing and implementing what I already had. Still, everything’s been carefully selected to fit the tone and mood of each scene.

So all in all, we’re getting closer. Things are moving steadily toward the finish line. I just need a bit more time to put all the pieces together and make sure everything works the way it should.
