Here's some early sketches of Haruko. Not only that, but of her Brother, and of her parents and the hideous transformation they went though after their plastic surgery. Also of the monster Haruko became that Keiko fought against.
I'm fairly certain that the first pic here is the first pic I ever did of Haruko, and honestly her design never changed too much after the first. She's even had that creepy eye face that she makes sometimes since the beginning.
Haruko was always meant to be Keiko's friend, but I never intended to use her as much as I did. After her first arc she ended up being a fun side character to write for, so I kept her around more.
