Today's prompt is Hungry... And while yesterday's prompt had to do with the moon, I thought that this prompt on Patreon was really fun and couldn't pass it up, especially with how it matched with some of the lore I had already written. I had thought of illustrating the moon prisoner mentioned in the last post, however I'd been meaning to doodle up some of these creatures for a while and saw it as a sign.
I may have a few that are somewhat interesting 1. A Eldritch Moon monster god 2. Eldritch Moon Preist 3 some monsters that are relate to the eldritch Moon god monster.

When the flesh was young and new to the creatures of this world, the creatures of Meaty's did not appear as they once did. Though now they look more manufactured and processed, as well as marketable due to their blending in with human society, in their natural, ancient form they are much more.... varied.
This is one of the Swine, a Throbbing Moon Acolyte, also known as Sah-abrig, Swine Priests, Fleshpreists, or Edim-Itud.
The Swine are pig creatures, born from the consumption of the flesh early in the time of man. While men evolved and grew into walking, speaking creatures that could stand upright and utilize opposable thumbs, Some of the early swine that were born from the flesh were transformed and altered as the flesh sought return, and so they became the creatures known as the Offal, or the Swine. These pig beasts worshipped the flesh and reveled in gluttony and depravity as they praised their dark mother. In the early time of man, some villages and kingdoms were besieged by the swine, entire family lines wiped out and their flesh merged into a slurry consumed by the swine or force fed to the humans by the swine to create breed stock or simply livestock.
The swine would worship the flesh mother in all of her avatars and consorts. The Conqueror worm, the Mother of flesh, and the Throbbing Moon. The throbbing moon was the most visible of her avatars, as occasionally the moon in the sky would become red and drip with flesh and nightmares as the swine worshipped in a frenzy of blood and feast, calling fourth a beef seed from the darkest depths of the cosmos to fertilize their planet. They appointed those who had the clearest visions of the fleshmother with positions of royalty and worship, and they were fed a special version of Ambrosia and a Marsadiri (Gutworm) that had been grown in their breed stock and then had half of it's head cut off and re introduced to the swine, which it would bind with it and grow inside of it. These Throbbing Moon Acolytes would meld with the minds of the Marsadiri and they could feel the pulsating of the Throbbing Moon, it's heartbeat, and feel it's cosmic vibrations and the connection of all flesh. They would have visions of the flesh, predicting futures of creatures born of flesh around them and knowing where beef seeds or other fleshy creatures would arrive on the planet and sending pilgrimages of swine off to retrieve them, or to visit the foot of the mountain where their mother lie buried. As the Acolytes become more corpulent, due to the Marsadiri in their bodies still eating and growing within them, They often "Birth" the Marsadiri through their body in some way and remain melded with it, able to use the worm's body as a new appendage.
They often carry large hooked staves to catch meat or slaves with, or to rupture stomachs to free the Marsadiri, and it is because of their staves that shephard hooks look the way they do.
Whenever it was found, a beef seed would be fed to one of their own chosen ones, and said chosen one would become the castle of the swine as the seed would grow within them and transform them into a massive fleshy shelter for the swine and the other various meat beasts, and they would then attempt to form a kingdom as the impregnated sow would birth Marsadiri and produce ambrosia that could be fed to the living beasts of the world to grow and birth the Ezem-eren. Because of this the Swine would keep specific humans and implant them with Marsadiri and keep them as slaves, but they would pamper and force feed these slaves with the flesh of hundreds of fallen enemies to allow them to nourish the Marsadiri until they burst fourth from the host and can survive on their own as a child of the Fleshmother.
Not all of these flesh worshipping tribes were swine, many humans and other races were enthralled by the flesh and also became acolytes of this faith and were accepted by the flesh whole heartedly.
The Ezem Eren, also known as the Beasts of Burden, the Entrail Men, or Ancient Burger Children, are born from hosts that were able to consume vast amounts of flesh and complete the process of birthing a Marsadiri without dying or rupturing first. When these beasts are born they take the shape of massive humanoid beasts riddled with limbs of swine, goats, cows, horses, sheep, chickens, and humans. No two Ezem-eren look the same, though they all have a similar face, which is reminiscent of their current face with goofy eyes and a wide mouth, just more toothy and the ground beef and entrails of the creature are more contained in a primitive foreskin or udder in the past. Always with a Marsadiri as a part of their body, often as a tail, yet some of the more powerful ones possess it as a long neck and head, and always riddled with intestines, udders, breasts, and limbs.
These hulking creatures are revered by the Swine priests as demi-gods and are treated as such as they are the children of the throbbing moon. The Ezem-Eren are allowed to consume what they wish, however more often than not they will present themselves to others to be consumed in a ritualistic manner, as their bodies, rich with ambrosia and teeming with young Marsadiri, can birth a hundred more from creatures feasting on it's flesh. Often times they are used as shock troopers, or tanks within combat, the Ezem-Eren defeating swaths of enemies on the battlefield with the aid of the swine, and after a great victory, the greatest warriors among the slaves are allowed to consume the flesh, as are the most honorable and powerful of their foes that were captured. The most powerful swine warriors are allowed to suckle from the teats of the beast and drink in it's mother's milk, which will cause them to grow larger and more powerful. Eventually the Ezem-Eren is consumed in it's entirety and the swine would bury it and it's flesh scraps in a sacred mound where it's hardest fought battles took place. In some cases these would grow into fleshy trees, or simply taint the area around it with gluttony, tumors, or general corpulence, and other times creatures would all steer clear of the location forever.
During some cosmic events, the acolytes and the Ezem-Eren would feel the throbbing of the Moon Mother grow closer, and they would all go on a pilgrimage to a distant location to stand atop the mountains and take in her glory. The world would thrum and pulsate with a dark resonance, and they would feel their mother calling to them....
This is the Throbbing Moon. Also known as the Living Moon, the Festering Planet, The Feasting Planet, The Writhing Star, She who waits in hunger, The Hunger of the Void, The Fleshmoon, The Fleshmother, Sa-nana-diri, or Meaght'iea the Fleshmother.
It has also been known as a Genius Loci.
When the Ezem-eren would feel the call of their mother, and the Acolytes of the throbbing moon could feel the cosmic heartbeats as the marsadiri would turn their heads to gaze at the distant sky, they knew that she would be near. That time every 100 years in which their planet would orbit close enough to view the throbbing moon, the pulsating form of the mother of flesh that hangs int he cosmos, and they could return to their Genius Loci.
The sky would redden and the clouds would thicken and grow laden with blood as a blot would appear in the sky for several weeks. A massive red moon, an enormous pulsating thing which would glow with light as the moon does, however it's slow, rhythmic throbbing could be felt by all on Earth as earthquakes on occasion, or simply as a deep, low vibration across the world. The Throbbing moon is colossal, at about 2,500 miles across, this massive creature appears to be a huge red moon, in the vague shape of a heart. It possesses various eyes and mouths like craters, and various open wounds and gashes. It has large pendulous breasts and stomachs that writhe at the lower half of it, and long fingers, hands, and feet that seem to droop from it, and massive birthing orifices seem to rupture and open on it before closing again, on top of the throbbing creature sits a crown of writhing worm like necks that scream into the galaxy.
On occasion, the throbbing moon would have a part of it drip off and detach. When this is done, it reaches out with one of it's limbs and grasps the broken flesh, before casting it into the cosmos as a beef seed to strike a planet somewhere and plant itself to grow into a malformed and twisted establishment.
On it's surface, crawl hundreds and thousands of gutworms and other various fleshy beings that are also flung with portions of itself to other worlds. Normally it exists solely as a massive creature, carried along by the gravity of other worlds and hanging freely in the solar system, however once every 400 years or so, the earth will pass by the throbbing moon once more, and for several weeks it will hang in the sky like a pulsating heart. During this time there will be frenzy across the planet, as cataclysmic events take place, from earthquakes and tsunamis as well as ancient creatures arising from their slumber as earthen depths are lowered and risen once more. During this time the throbbing moon will reach out and cause those on the planet to go mad with gluttony and lust, and it will shower down it's young as it empowers it's followers to rise up and reclaim everything in her name.
Some can create a bridge to her more easily at this time and many of her followers will return to her embrace at this point, becoming one with the fleshmother once more. It is believed that the throbbing moon is a living gate of sorts to the fleshwastes of the realm of madness, or that this is only a portion of the fleshmother that had broken free of the realm and cast her flesh out into the material world to spread her influence.
A Genius Loci is a protective spirit of a location, or simply a spirit of a place. As such it is a representative of the true form of the fleshmother and encompasses her abilities and the will of the flesh. It can influence the minds of those it orbits around, and twist the flesh of the creatures below to become malleable and sick, or to become plump and laden with fat. It can rend the minds of men and scramble and curdle your blood in your veins. It can give visions of the future, and of the past, and it can birth fourth new species and call it's children back to it. Through proper rituals it can be called, to move through the cosmos and approach the planet, speeding up it's next arrival.
Other creatures can be called the Genius Loci, but it is truly the living
It is believed that Edward Munch's the scream may have been inspired by one of the last sightings of the Throbbing Moon, and that some blood moons depicted in ancient literature may have indeed been the Throbbing Moon.
P.R.I.M.E. has been keeping an eye on the throbbing moon and believes that it could next appear on the planet by 2240, however various cults are speeding it's arrival and they are working to prevent this, though they know that the increase in gluttony and obesity across the planet has indeed been helpful in calling to her. They have also discovered that she is not the only of her kind, and that several exist within the universe, meaning she is only a portion of a greater whole......
