This prompt is Avatar.....
This is an avatar of the flesh, a goddess of war and sex, of meat and fertility, wool and grain. Known as Ishtar, Inanna, Astarte, and Ashtaroth through history, she is a violent and deadly force to be reckoned with.
The Throbbing Moon fell from the stars long before there was life on Earth. Long before there was water or oxygen. Then there was only stone and flame. Smoke and flesh.
Like a titanic meatball it fell from the sky, a seed which collided with the planet and sizzled as the flesh seared and burned from the primordial heat, and soon grew the fleshwastes of the planet. It spread across the land for miles before falling dormant, the flesh burning and weak from it's travel, and sizzling and delicious from it's arrival. Ancient things partook of the flesh as it slumbered, their forms bloating and ruptured as they became one with the flesh, and others stole the first meat to expand their own knowledge. The world cooled and the flesh became dormant, it fell into a deep sleep as it froze and as the earth consumed it. But still it's hearts beat and it's nerves twitched. It still was a portion of a greater being deep within the yawning black and it still breathed in a hibernating slumber, and as it slept it birthed a protector, a champion of flesh, of the beginning of skin and of meat that would protect the location where the mountainous creature slumbered, and to steal back the flesh which had been stolen from it. The beast was known as Humbaba.
For many years Humbaba was a destructive force. During the earliest wars of man, before mankind was mankind and when man and monkey had been barely separated by the alien intelligence that granted a divine spark and created our race, Humbaba struck down all in his path, tearing them apart, mangled and bent as it rent the creatures before him. They had stolen of the flesh while the mother slept, and it spent it's life attempting to recover it.
Born from the flesh was not only Humbaba, but others, birthed for tasks to protect the meat mother and to recollect the flesh, yet spread it to the world like a web, to enrapture all that exist to pull them back in again. These things were given many names, Anu, Gugalanna the Bull of heaven, The Erymanthian Boar, The Babi ngepet, The Saehrimnir, and the Hydra to name some, and those creatures went on to leave behind their own legacies or destroy many kingdoms and cities and consume the flesh within. Anu was an adjudicator, a destroyer and maker of kings, and his flesh was twisted into the shape of a man so he could better command their emotions. He went fourth and sought the stolen flesh by the elder things and found the worshiping monkeys created by their craftsmanship, and the Nephilim created through the breeding of the celestials and he granted them power and capability as kings, instilling upon them the humour of semen for potency, and was himself accepted as a deity by some of their kind. He instilled the flesh of the mother into their people, and in time when many priestesses had grown corpulent with the greed of the throbbing moon he planted his seed within one and in violent birth was born the goddess Ishtar, A child of the pure flesh, born of the tainted and given the strength of the Nephilim, inheriting the strength of the celestials.
Ishtar is small for a Nephilim, but still stands taller than most humans. She has greatly exaggerated hips, and a malleable body which she can transform into various worm like appendages and mouths. She has control over much power from many of the humours, however she mostly has command over magic of semen and saliva, phlegm, and blood. She can command the flesh, and through her carnal pleasures she can command her lovers and break their bodies, or incite a horrid hunger or violence within them. She is incredibly fast and nimble, and incredibly strong, commanding various pheromones and causing those around her to fight or become amorous. Her followers are often holy prostitutes, and due to her connection to the fleshmother they are encouraged to consume infinitely and grow fat, becoming infested with Gut worms and birthing them into the world with great violence, for the creature to be worshiped by those followers around her. Her symbol is a 6 or 8 pointed star, and it is believed that she and the fleshmother may have first entered reality through a rift on Venus, or came from the planet itself. She also ushered in the rise of the Swine, granting them power and divine intelligence among the people, and causing the large pig things to rise and begin wiping out humans for a short time as manimals.
Ishtar brought together the beings of flesh on the Earth, and brought them great prosperity and corpulence, allowing her people to feast and grow fat, though some would be granted the gift of the moon, a throbbing pulsing thing within their bowels that writhed and grew until it ruptured from within, massive worms known now as Gutworms, but then as Marsadiri, which were seen as holy children and worshipped by some. The worms aided the Nephilim in their war against the Fae, and with her abilities as she worshipped the Throbbing moon she had been born from she afflicted gluttony on the fae that crossed her path and continued to return the flesh to whence it came through returning it to the mother, or through devouring it herself. When the war ended against the Fae, the wars became internal, as the Nephilim began to turn against the flesh and against their rightful gods as Gilgamesh slew Humbaba after a long battle. Ishtar demanded that Gilgamesh sire a child with her to replace Humbaba, and he refused and so she called for vengeance and begged Anu for the power of Gugalanna, and called fourth the bull of heaven to strike down Gilgamesh and it is only able to strike disease into he and his ally Enkidu, killing Enkidu and crippling Gilgamesh, though Gugalanna was also slain. Gilgamesh was weakened greatly, allowing for human rulers such as Sargon of Akkad to become the first ruler of the Akkadian empire and being a part of what ushered the end of the Nephilim reign on the Earth.
Ishtar went off seeking dominion over other powers, and began to obtain them with her battles and victories against other gods and, and even consumed some of her own, stealing their power and gaining their strength, even being able to gather some of Marduk's fractured power that was left behind when Marduk was sundered and cast into the void, and devouring Anu and many of her other siblings and those of the flesh.
She does not only have power over the creatures of Earth, and had taken part in the Gods War which raged from Earth to Urth and beyond, and aided in the corruption of the land and in the creation of Adephagia by feeding her the tainted flesh of her mother and granting her control over worms, and that she had clashed with Aphrodite and incited her madness from a violent affair that took place between them as goddesses of carnal flesh.
Seeing all that her corruption had wrought, after she had grown with the world worm, she was banished back to whence she came, cast into the stars, to never be seen again. Though it is believed that she may be on the planet Venus, resting as a location called Ishtar Terra.
Though she is not around during this new tactical era for the Fleshmother, she could easily adapt to the new methods of hunting their human prey in the modern day.....
