This is a blue Knight. When the kingdom of Camelot was stricken by a vile curse, it spread from the center, afflicting those nearest the castle first and reaching it's cursed tendrils out to the kingdom around it. As the towers began to grow, and the countryside began to be littered with ramparts, gates, towers and barracks, so too did villages begin to spawn. Gallows, homes, courthouses, food halls, bath houses, and businesses began to grow, all without owner and without purpose, placed seemingly randomly through the landscape as they grew from the ground. The Harbor, and the fleets of ships belonging to the Arthurian army stood and held their ground against the twisted knights that emerged, but slowly they were pushed to their ships and forced to retreat to the harbor, continuing their battle by attacking the ramparts and fortress parts from sea and fighting off the various knights that fired arrows and took flight to reach them. In time however, as towers grew from beneath the waves, churches peeked from the briny depths, and a lighthouse breached the waves, they knew that they could not hold out for long. The knights held their ground, however some began to go mad, hearing the call of the sea, and some leaped to their deaths while others simply took boats and returned to the castle. Some tied themselves to masts, while others fought it, and yet the final straw came when knights began to emerge from the waves. Though many types of contorted human rose up, twisted with the heads of clams, or possessing a nest of eels living within their guts or a shark's head for a hand. However the most powerful that emerged were the Blue Knights.
Blue Knights were once of the patrols to protect the harbor, ensuring that pirates and other creatures not make their way into the kingdom, they protect the bay, the harbor, and most sea or river fairing business. This is because they are known as bulwarks of defense, standing resolute against anything that would attempt to breech the city's walls. At war, the Blue Knights were the heavy guard, the most armored, and usually the most shielded, standing like human tanks on the battlefield. They protected all of the walls, however most were pushed to the harbor when the ordeal began.
Blue Knights are incredibly imposing, often standing anywhere from 7-15 feet tall, they are clad in thick iron plate metal and a tattered, sea soaked cloak with a nigh unbreakable helm. They wield massive maces, mauls, greatswords, greataxes, or halberds, usually adorned with twisted and pained faces to intimidate their foes. Their shields possessing a screaming face with wide eyes to drive back their enemies, and even their greaves are adorned with the likeness of Arthur himself. Since they have been corrupted by the fae, their bodies have become one with the sea, Sprouting beaks and growing barnacles as they rest on their knees in a daze staring into the sea, their bodies becoming slimy and drooping as tentacles begin growing from them, a large shell, and tentacles bearing hands begin to grow.Pulsating tumors appear on the flesh, wriggling with tentacles, and occasional toothed beaks and squid or octopoid eyes tearing the skin open and staring. Their limbs may lengthen and become claw like, while riddled with tentacles, as hands grow at the tips of the tentacles and they use these new appendages to wield their weapons an grasp at their foes.
Blue Knights have blood like ink if you can penetrate their defenses, and it spills and sprays in gouts of black that blind and burn those who come into contact with it. They are also able to call upon their fae magic to manipulate water, causing dew to move like bullets, part rivers and portions of the sea. To call fourth salty brine and rend the flesh from enemies, or to teleport through water itself, emerging through puddles or other bodies of water, or even walking on water. Some blue knights are not afflicted by the sea like others, and may possess other forms of mutation, though more than likely they will be found on the briny beach in an endless twilight, staring at the sea and listening to the siren song of the fairy queen's deathly lament....
Now there are very few left lurking within the sealed off Camelot, but those who still exist are still standing to protect the castle grounds and the entire kingdom. Occasionally they slip with the castle back to Earth, however task forces from P.R.I.M.E. are often able to fight them off...
