Today's prompt is Nephilim....

One  of the most prevalent kinds of entity within my lore are the Nephilim.  Our ancestors, ancient giants whom were birthed from relations between  Celestials and primitive man on Earth long ago. They come in many forms,  however the Fire Giants are certainly a unique case compared to many of  the other Nephilim.

Fire Giants  may invoke images of giants with burning hair and dripping with Magma,  however they actually tend to appear as massive, hairy creatures with  jutting teeth, massive maws that open down the length of their chest,  and imposing strength. However this does still come with power to  manipulate flames in many forms. The Fire Giants are the most primitive  of giants, having not changed or evolved much after they first came to  being. They were among the Forest People, the children of the woods and  the stalkers of the green. Some know them as Sasquatch, but they go by  many names in many different cultures. These primitive hairy humanoids  were some of the first evolved from the procreation of the first humans  born from the Progenitor and apes, and these hairy creatures spread  across the planet. Colonies of them intermingled and began to develop  various tools, but they remained within the dark, until the Celestial  known as Prometheus fell from the sky and granted them the power of  fire. He brought to these hairy beings the ability to invoke flame and  to protect themselves and warm themselves, to cook food and to burn  their foes, and granted children to the women of these hairy tribes, and  was dragged into the darkness because of it. The nephilim born of  Prometheus and these hairy creatures stood taller than many other  Nephilim, however the fire giants could reach heights of 100 feet tall  or sometimes taller in rare circumstances, though often times there are  many smaller ones. These Nephilim were able to command the hairy people  and the humans, as well as many of the other more powerful entities of  the world with their mastery over flame manipulation and pyrokinetics.  They would create walls of burning flame, searing beams of magma that  linger and droop heavily in the air as they rain down and melt through  all in their path, and the ability to unleash beams of plasma and gouts  of fire from their mouths. This power was increased and amplified when  they were joined by other fallen celestials such as their leader  Lucifer, whom they granted the title of Surtur.

During  the various wars that took place early in human history, the Fire  Giants reigned supreme, able to fight back the forces of the Shoggoths  and to even face off against some of the celestials with support from  other nephilim, and it is believed that the Fire Giants first learned of  the Fae weakness to Metal but kept the secret among themselves. The  Hairy folk, all of the various ape men that is, and the forces of Leng  were allied together, however as some of their members began to fall,  and the fire giants were struck down and their conquest came to an end.  The nephilim and the hairy folk dispersed, as the Nephilim went on to  mingle with humans, the hairy ones and hairy folk retreated to their own  settlements and colonies across the world. Some defected to the Fae,  while others escaped to Leng, some to the mountains and others to  swamps. Many were corralled and enslaved by the Serpentfolk, and some  prayed to the dark gods of the void to send salvation, which they  received in the form of Tsathoggua as he fell from the sky and rent the  kingdom of the serpents asunder. Some worshipped the Black Goat of the  woods, and others the World Cicada, but all slowly fell into obscurity  as the hairy folk and nephilim faded away.

The  fire Giants had retreated as well. Some being followed by the hairy  folk into deep caverns in the earth, and others invoking their arcane  power to drag themselves to Urth, a land where they could once again  attempt to gain control over the land. Others followed Lucifer to Hell  and became corrupted, detestable things in the pits of Abaddon.

In  some areas, deep within forests on Earth, Fire Giants exist, often  times with small clans of Hairy folk, whom slay any humans who draw too  close. Some live within the Holow Earth and have found a niche in  society to survive, fighting a silent war beneath the gaze of man and  occasionally still battling against the Serpentfolk secretly within the  caverns of the hollow earth, and some have found humans or ancestors and  called to them to pass on the flame as Prometheus had in the past,  granting the divine power of fire to those hairy folk, and some humans,  who prove their fealty to the Giants. Some on Urth have gone on to lead  wars and armies again, expanding their arcane knowledge and even  building a small cirty of fire giants in the volcanic and blackened  forests of Azshhs twrievev (A-shiss-to-reeve).
