OCTOBER REWARDS 11

Darkfire57

Your take on an Alraune or dryad type monster girl, be they more monstrous or cuter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an Alraune. Sometimes known as a Mandrake woman or simply as a flower woman.

Alraune are plant like entities that come in two different forms, both known as Alraune, however one is typically known as a Red Alraune while the other is known as a Black Alraune.

Alraune can spawn from execution sites. Where the ejaculate or blood of a hanged or otherwise executed man fertilizes the ground and feeds it the seed and flesh, or when a witch impregnates itself with a mandrake root. These rituals can cause a creature to manifest within the earth or within the womb of the witch and it will then become the Alraune.

Red Alraune grow in the ground like a fetus in a womb, slowly growing roots and feeding on the soil around it. It is thought that the souls of the Fae bind with the seed and the power of the Earth to form this entity. It eventually sprouts like a rose bud, blooming slowly into the shape of a woman. If the fetus is dug up before it grows into a bulb, or if it's umbilical roots are severed, it can grow up to be a normal adult female, however it will often times be devoid of love, a soul, and full of perverse intentions and sociopathic or psychopathic behaviors. If left in the ground however, the stem will emerge looking like a distorted head as a bud. Once the flower blooms however it will begin to sprout a head akin to a young girl. The head will often remain in brush or foliage or hidden in the bloom, but it will pick up on language and sounds quickly around it. As it develops, it will become a beautiful woman with traits that tend to be desirable in the area where she is growing.

Alraune are like Succubi and will lure in males through pheromone manipulation, song, and playfulness. Alraune cannot fully leave their bloom as their legs attach to the inside of it, and as such they must lure creatures to the, however particularly large Alraune can grow hands or feet on the roots of their flower so they can become mobile, and Alraune tend to grow long thorny vines that can be used like tentacles or tendrils to attack creatures . Alraune will feed on the blood, flesh, and seed of the creature and use it to become strong, and to become pregnant. When impregnated the Alraune will appear as a pregnant woman, however after a few days it will slowly move through the stem and grow more Alraune or large womb deposits which appear like large swollen stomachs. Alraune can give birth to humans after they reach a large enough size, and the humans are all like that of a Red Alraune that was born outside of the ground. Devoid of love, violent, and soulless. They tend to bring creatures back to their mother to feed her on occasion, but will often times live their lives for a while, find a man and be taken away to a new location to be impregnated where they will then plant themselves and grow into a new Red Alraune. Red Alraune can grow giant twisting vines from the ground that shred their foes, and they can grow their roots into a creature to drain away blood and other fluids quickly. Some even form symbiotic relationships with other plant based creatures that bury themselves at their base, such as Shambling mounds, Tendriculous, or Bloodvines, which will help defend and feed the Alraune.

The flowers that grow on Alraune are roses, yet Alraune give off sweet scents and fruity fragrances to attract people. Despite the very obvious nature of the presentation here. Alraune often times keep themselves well disguised and it isn't until they've lured in a man that they may be found out. Alraune possess a sap like saliva that is addictive, and in fact many of the Alraune's bodily processes can be used for magic, particularly love and procreation based magic, however there is a chance that it could occasionally cause a creature to birth an Alraune themselves.

Black Alraune come from Alraune Children born from witches If the mandrake, after being made love to, is planted, it may grow into a Black Alraune, or simply a Bloodvine bush. However if the Alraune born from a witch is killed, or the witch is killed while pregnant with a Black Alraune, it will regrow as one. Black Alraune take the form of a large briar of Rose bushes which tend to grow large female heads. If formed from the corpse of a witch, the heads will all have her face. The bushes will grow roses and occasionally even sprout trees which take on shapes that are a bit TOO human.

The Black Alraune will call to men, particularly those whom have wronged her, but lonely or unfaithful men hear the call too. Particularly powerful Black Alraune can call in any sort of man with it's whispering voice. It can speak through the flowers and trees for miles from where it is, and drive people to madness or twist the woods so that travelers get lost. The Black Alraune possesses the evil eye of a hag, and it's eyes will hypnotize you into believing a beautiful woman is waiting under the tree for you, or she may lure you in to make love to her. During this time you won't feel the thorns prick at your flesh, nor the roots drinking your blood. She drinks the creature's blood and takes their seed, growing more powerful. Those that die are gathered into the bushes, mummified and made into a meal for the Alraune, which will birth more heads and give it more control over the woods. It can even animate the emaciated and drained bodies of those it killed through flowers and vines, making them walk as shambling corpses. They can also manifest large feminine arms that can grab creatures or smash them and drag them in.

It is believed that consuming one of these heads can grant a creature powers, or it can cause a terrible curse. The heads once uprooted can stay living and can even release the deadly scream of a mandrake. All of the Black Alraune's heads can cast spells as the witch, however many times the magic is unfocused or a bit more primal and wild due to the almost undead nature of the creature.

The only way to kill the Alraune is to burn and purify the witch that it grew from, which is often times at the center of the bush. However if the Alraune has become a Rose Hag, as depicted by the creature on the far right, it can be much more difficult.

Rose Hags are the reanimated corpses of witches slain and transformed into an Alraune. They are bound to their area of death and cannot leave within 1 mile of it, however they can occasionally move further if they are particularly powerful or possess a large area of influence from killing many men. They tend to move and shamble while their voice can be heard in your mind whispering threats. They possess long black claws and with a single strike can begin a process which transforms a creature into a tree or a rose bush. Unlike with most other hags, Rose Hags tend to be mostly mindless, driven on instinct instead of anything else, but they still possess their cunning and spite. Some are able to maintain their personalities in this way. Rose Hags can be found in some areas of the dreamlands, but is the only hag found more commonly in the real world than in dreamlands, however particularly powerful ones have fond themselves in the dreamlands, and even ruling kingdoms.

Alraune often times can grow near Jubokko trees, and while on occasion they will vie for dominance, they will also work together many times and merge together to form a terrible pair.

Black Alraune tend to be called as such as the vines and plants growing from them are darker than with normal flowers, and because quite a few Black Alraune have emerged from the dark woods and have connections to the strange dark entities within....
