Jormungandr, also known as the Jormungand serpent, Apophis, Xiuhcotal, the Serpent of Eden, The cursed serpent, The Sun Eater, Ragnarok Serpent, and the Consort of the Snakefather....

Jormngandr was a large serpent creature that existed long before the advent of modern man. When Lemuria still existed, and the Kingdom of Atlantis was in it's early days as akingdom, and mankind were merely a concept, the Jormungandr came to Earth. The mother of serpents and the progenitor of the serpentfolk, her lover Yig the father of Serpents too arrived on this planet to spread their progeny and claim the location, much as many other Great Old Ones were doing. 

The kingdom of Serpent Folk spread far and wide, enslaving the hairy sub-human inhabitants of the regions and the Serpent Folk going to war with the other various predecessors of human and early races that existed on the planet. They went to war with other Old ones and various gods and entities, however it was Yhwh, the progenitor of man whom led the war against the serpent folk along with the Nephilim and angels. Jormungandr possesses a power known as the world furnace. A heat within her that can melt and destroy anything that enters her maw and provides fuel to the powerful serpent. However she was wounded by Yhwh during their conflicts and the injury debilitated her ability to use the world engine. She already possessed an insatiable hunger. She bore away at the planet and consumed kingdoms and mountains regularly to maintain her power, however now due to the furnace being damage, she began to grow fat. She grew so fat that she was forced to crawl on her belly and her arms became small and useless as her body became immense....

She was called fourth on Urth by Loki as an avatar of destruction, and there took part in the Gods war as one of the Devourlords and battled Tiamat as well as other powerful entities. 

She is currently in hibernation, though her power is called upon sometimes , though Ragnarok states that she will one day return at the end of the world....
