Here's one; some creepy cannibal redneck family having invited a lost or broken down traveller or two to spend Thanksgiving with them, claiming their food is to die for...

Of course not all rednecks are inbred hilbillies.... however in some secluded locations, often times away from other humans, the people can devolve and become something far different...

Through breeding, humans often will slowly weed out genetic imperfections and the like, slowly but surely leading to a new and improved human race. However when inbreeding continues to occur, the genetic differences break down and certain issues and traits become a staple of your family line and tend to become worse and worse. When inbreeding occurs far too often, the offspring may begin to take on traits from before man, traits of our neanderthal ancestors, and traits from our ancient Nephilim ancestors. The Nephilim genes, all of which tend to be recessive, will slowly begin to weave themselves further into the genetic structure, and as the body essentially attempts to create a new hybrid species, various terrible hindrances can afflict a creature, though sometimes it can cause the creature to mutate and change into something more powerful than it ever would have been as a human.

These genetic mutants, sometimes known as Half Giants, Half Nephilim, Mutants, The Chosen, or Mongrels, tend to be larger than normal humans, or possess larger limbs, or other body parts than a normal human due to their Nephilim genes. They tend to have many tumorous growths, be missing limbs, digits, or have generally deformed features. They tend to consume human flesh, just like the Nephilim do, and suffer from a plethora of various birth defects and genetic illnesses. However they have seemed to reach a point beyond normal inbred genetic issues, and so they will often be durable, long lived, super strong, and rather than being infertile, they can sometimes be the opposite. All of them have various forms or mutations, and there are even quite a few with little or no recognizable differences from humans at first glance, however most are large grotesque creatures.

On Earth they are common in some areas, usually subterranean, where they live in colonies and hunt down humans and eat them. Many times they stem from aristocratic families that have practiced inbreeding to keep their bloodline pure, and in America there are quite a few families in the deep south that had gone into hiding after they lost the civil war, leaving a small army of horrifying confederate half-giants lurking in the deep woods...

Maybeline and Doris have dealt with them before as they are almost neighbors, and they have battled on many occasions due to Maybeline and Doris being immortal and able to regenerate themselves, meaning they would be an endless food supply....

I'll probably draw more of these guys in the future some time....
