"I can try to suggest as monster the monster I made as a nightmare this year that really scares me. On the other hand, it will not be easy to describe it, but I will do my best. I remember that the creature appears in the dark behind a window by showing on the glass several human arm of white fifty and more who tries to grip what seems alive before breaking the window and catches a person , then drag it to the center of all these arms. You could hear a crunching noise and chewing coming from this center, while the victim quietly enters inside. (I do not know what the rest of the body looks like, but I remember it was strong enough and big enough to drop a car easily.) Later, I could see with the light the center of all this arm, which seems to make a mouth, like the center of a flower surrounded by petal. I saw with horror that inside there was a row of human heads that could come out of the mouth, devoured the body of the unfortunate and see that he tore his head to make one of them in this tunnel of undead head . They suddenly looked at me all with some unhealthy smile. I fled and took refuge in the cellar. There were 5 other people who were hidden in this cellar. (My dream was not logical. ^^ '') We stayed for a few days, but for lack of food, we began to feel hungry. The creature was still there, talking to us with different voices. She did not seem to want to enter. As if she wanted to shut up here to torture us better. Then, one of the people who starved, unknowingly was manipulated by this creature that sent as a picture that his head was filled with delicious gummy bear, enough to satisfy his hunger, but for that, had to open these surprise box suddenly of stone to be able to eat. Like a lunatic, he took a stone and broke his head again, until he could take some brain and eat it. Then, without warning, half dead, he went out and closed the door before being attacked by the creature. The last thing I remember in my dream is that later, a person is attacked by the monster and we try to save it, but too late, his body disappears in the center of this creature. But later, strangely, the person came back, with no injury. She seemed to be ok, but had turned white and seemed not to be normal. So here it is my nightmare that really scares me this year and I took the time to note it in case I would like to create this monster that comes out of the madness lovecraft or junji ito. XD I hope his can help you with this monster idea. ^^"

I absolutely loved this idea, and even moreso that he had a basis but never saw the full body so I improvised with what I imagined this creature to look like!

It's also why the attachment file is called Delicious Gummy Bear because I loved that line so much XD.

Creepy enough, my sister had a dream about a very similar monster made mostly out of arms, feet and heads, and I too had a dream about a somewhat similar centipede man, and we occasionally make references to the creature.

So maybe it's the same dream wandering creature coming to haunt us all! As such I combined all of the ideas I had for an arm monster together to complete this idea he sent.

That being said, now is as good a time as any to talk about Living Nightmares in my story continuity since this month seems to be full of lore as usual.

Living Nightmares are dreams made manifest. Evil creatures that wander the dark edges of the dreamlands, where the realm of madness overlaps the world of sleep. The Dreamlands are made up of many distant lands and sights, however the further from the mainland you go, you will start to reach the planes of sleep, where all consciousness goes within dreams. Endless fields and mazes of astral creatures and projections from other dreaming humans interacting with phantasmal denizens of the world.

When one dreams, their spirit tends to project it's self into the dream realm. Unless one is in possession of the silver key, they usually cannot control the actions within these dreams, and they certainly cannot easily live there. (Though coma patients, those in a vegetative state, or those whom have learned the art of lucid dreaming can alter these statistics a bit).

The dreamscape is highly malleable at the far edges of the world, and is made up of cities and landscapes mismatched and combined together from our own world, repeating and shifting constantly based on the collective consciousness of the sleepers. These are the areas where those known as Thought bandits tend to roam, collecting dreams and ideas from creatures for a price.

Continuing on further however, sometimes creatures wander into the areas where dreams and madness overlap. Here creatures such as Nightmare clowns and Hags roam freely, as well as evil witches, cultists, dead gods, and other unsavory things. One such apex predator that haunts these lands are animate Nightmares. They can come in any shape or form, and this one in particular is known as the Dream of Limbs.

A Dream of Limbs is made of the bodies of those who died while dreaming, or were killed by it and their limbs taken into it's congregation.

A Dream of limbs grasps and grabs at it's opponents, pulling them apart and removing limbs and heads to make it part of it's endless nightmare. They are able to use the stolen heads to speak, and will attempt to confuse creatures with their dissonant whispers, attempting to lure them out into the open.

Animate Nightmares are sometimes summoned or created by Hags as enforcers or familiars by feeding on the nightmares of humans and making them manifest, and powerful hags can drag the nightmares to the real world.
