October Rewards 5

Mothers who survive the process of being mothers are left alive with copious amounts of hanging and drooping flesh. They are known as Tattered Mothers, and are left in a state of madness as the worms and fat flows out of their bodies. They have been altered by the ambrosia and because of it they are able to live despite their wounds, with their bodies slowly reacting and becoming as they are upon birth.

Such mothers are immediately driven insane, and become some of the mindless drones and often stand laughing or crying. They are given swineskin masks like many others wear, and some are taken by the Offal to be fed on or used as sacrifices to the Fleshmother. Others are simply collected by janitors, and the few that show slight movement or the ability to act beyond the laughing or crying fits will be taken by the swine to the vats of Ambrosia and left to marinate....

Here we have a Gutworm bringing a mask to the Tattered Mother to begin her process.

Gutworms are fleshworms that were too big to be fleshmolded, and so they crawled into a new mother and became her child. Some mothers hold several gutworms, though more than 3 or 4 will usually cause premature births after several months and the worms will be left with stunted growth and may create a rare Worm Host. Others however will grow and feed on the grease and beef the mother eats and become larger and larger, eventually replacing her throat and stomach as well as her digestive system like a parasite, with the rest of it's coiled body filling her's until she bursts. Her flesh will become part of the worm's and she will take a horrific shape and the worm will emerge as it's own creature. It's grasping bone like claws within it's throat will be modified by the Swine to aid them in procedures, and the mothers will be given masks by the swine. The Mother will still be sentient and alive, though maddened by all that had happened, and she will still be driven to consume and more often than not will eat her own arms.

The Gutworm's excrement is a black and thick substance that the Swine both consume and use to make tools...
