I lounged on the floor of the apartment, stretching my long legs out as I pored over the ancient Wonderland scrolls. The parchment was delicate under my fingertips; it's faded ink looping in hypnotic swirls that whispered secrets of Size Magic just begging to be tested!
"Alright...," I murmured, tapping my lip with a painted nail. "This one looks like it’s about… shrinking?"
Across from me, my study partner watched with interest. I smirked—they had always fascinated me, and if there was ever a way to grab their attention, it was through a little size play.
I traced a finger along the faded text. "Looks like it’s for enchanting water," I mused aloud. "Turn any drink into a shrinking potion with a single spell. Hmm…" My eyes flicked toward the open can of Mountain Dew beside us. "Wanna test it?"
They raised an eyebrow. "I dunno. You sure it’s safe?"
I waved them off. "Only one way to find out!" I teased.
With a playful lilt in my voice, I read the incantation:
"Small as a sip, light as the breeze, dwindle down tiny, just as you please!"
A golden swirl of magic shimmered in the air, curling around the can like a coiling ribbon before sinking into the liquid with a faint fizz. I picked it up, peering at it curiously. "Huh. Smells normal."
I took a sip.
For a second, nothing happened. Then—
Hic!
A warm tingle rippled through me. I gasped, my breath catching as I felt my body shrink ever so slightly. My T-shirt loosened around me, the collar dipping just a little lower. Across from me, my study partner sat up straighter.
"You okay?" they asked, their gaze flicking over me.
I blinked, a shiver of excitement coursing through me. "I… I think—"
Hic!
Another inch lost. A breathy giggle bubbled from my lips as the sensation rolled through me again, my sleeves slipping further over my wrists.
"Oh," I purred, looking down at myself. "I think it's working."
Their eyes widened. "Dahlia, you’re shrinking pretty fast!."
I swirled the can in my hand, a delicious thrill dancing along my spine. "Mmm, guess I should pace myself, huh?"
Then, with deliberate mischief, I took another sip.
Hic!
This time, the shrinking sped up. My clothes sagged against me, my leggings beginning to bunch around my knees. I stretched my arms, letting the oversized fabric drape from my dwindling frame. "Oh no," I teased, shooting them a playful pout. "I'm getting so small!"
"You did this on purpose!" they accused, though their intrigued stare never wavered.
I giggled, pressing the can against my lips once more. "Maaaybe—hic!"
I lost another few inches, my T-shirt slipping off one shoulder completely. I wriggled inside it, my now-loose bra strap sliding down my arm.
They leaned in closer, clearing their throat. "You, uh… might want to stop drinking that."
I smirked. "And miss out on all the fun?" I took a longer sip, licking a stray drop from my lips.
The magic hit me all at once.
Hic! Hic! Hic!
My body shuddered with each tiny convulsion, sending me spiraling smaller. I squeaked as the waistband of my leggings slipped past my hips, pooling around my thighs before sliding completely off. My baggy shirt collapsed around me like a tent, swallowing my arms, my neckline slipping lower and lower until I tumbled into the oversized fabric with a muffled laugh.
"Oops!" I piped up from within the pile. "I think I’m a little stuck..."
I felt them hesitate before peeling back the T-shirt, revealing my bare, shrunken legs poking out from the folds. I wiggled free, now barely four inches tall, wrapping my arms around myself in mock shyness, though my teasing grin never faded.
"You should’ve seen your face just now," I giggled, looking up at them from the mess of discarded clothes. "You're totally into this, aren’t you?"
They coughed. "I mean, it’s… fascinating."
"Mhmm," I hummed knowingly. Then, with a wicked glint in my eye, I stretched out in their palm, sprawling out lazily.
Their fingers curled slightly around me, the subtle grip making me tremble.
"Well," I purred, letting my miniature legs dangle over the edge of their fingers, "I guess now we figure out what to do with me, huh?"
