I leaned against the grimy bathroom sink, trying to steady my breath. The pounding bass of the club reverberated through the walls, making my already-frazzled nerves jangle. It had been a hellish week of finals at Magic University, and my studies in Size Magic were pushing me to the brink. I needed to blow off steam, and tonight was supposed to be my chance to forget all the stress.
I reached into my enchanted clutch, fumbling for the energy potion I always kept for emergencies. My body still buzzed from hours of dancing, sweat glistening on my skin. I unscrewed the small bottle and gulped it down without a second thought.
The change was immediate.
A searing heat spread through my veins, like liquid fire coursing under my skin. My vision blurred as a strange tingling took over every inch of my body. Panic surged—this wasn’t my energy potion.
“Oh no,” I whispered, realization dawning. “The shrink elixir!”
My knees buckled as my body jolted downward, my perspective shifting violently. I was shrinking—fast. My pulse raced, my mind screaming at me to do something, but every pulse of magic sent an overwhelming wave of euphoria crashing over me. I groaned, clutching the edge of the sink for balance, but my fingers slipped as another shrink knocked me down to half my size.
The heat was unbearable now, like an inferno consuming me from the inside out. I clawed at my shirt, yanking it off in a desperate attempt to cool down. Every inch I lost only made me shiver with pleasure. I gasped, biting my lip to keep from crying out.
“Where’s my phone?” I mumbled, my thoughts a chaotic swirl. I patted the floor, but the shrinking made it impossible to focus. “No… no, no, no!”
Another shrink hit me like a lightning bolt, and I couldn’t help the moan that escaped my lips. The sensations were too much, and my legs gave out beneath me.
“Hello?” A voice called from a nearby stall.
“Are you okay?”
I froze, my dwindling body trembling with a mix of panic and pleasure. I had to get help—had to stop this—but my limbs felt like jelly. I scrambled toward the stall, my tiny hands pounding weakly on the door.
“Help!” I cried, my voice breaking. “I can’t… I can’t stop shrinking!”
Before I could think, my body slipped under the gap of the stall door. I looked up at the towering figure of the woman sitting on the toilet, who stared back in shock, her phone already in hand.
“Oh my god,” the woman said, her mouth falling open.
My world spun as I continued to dwindle, my bare skin tingling as I shrank smaller and smaller. I reached out, grabbing at the woman’s leg for balance. “Please, I need your phone! I need to call my roommate for the antidote!” I begged, but my voice was high-pitched, almost squeaky now.
The woman’s shock turned into fascination. “This… this is wild,” she muttered, lifting her phone to snap a picture of me, the shrunken, writhing girl at her feet. “What the hell is happening?”
I whimpered, my body shuddering with another euphoric jolt. I was so small now—barely the size of a doll—and the shrinking still wasn’t stopping. My eyes welled with tears as I clung to the woman’s foot.
“Please,” I whispered, “make it stop…”
