June Update!
Added 2020-06-01 21:56:39 +0000 UTCHello again! Another month gone, and here we are again, at this month's regularly scheduled update post!
Not much to report this time, I think, other than I unfortunately have to say that my left wrist (fortunately not my drawing one) hasn't been doing so hot lately, most likely due to me overdoing it last month while getting used to a new workstation layout. It's been giving trouble on and off again for the last week or so, and hopefully it's properly on the upswing now, but I think I'll be doing my best to be a bit more slow and careful this month, at least until I know it's properly recovered.
That aside, don't worry, all patron rewards will be signed, sealed and delivered before the month is up, as per usual, I just might take a wee bit more time is all.^^
And secondly, in more long term news, I believe I mentioned it previously, but given things like Patreon introducing sales tax, and several developments/improvements in my own artwork (at least in my own opinion) I've been contemplating raising my prices a bit.
I've been holding off on it, though, not least because I'm still not completely confident, but also because of Covid and quarantines making money a little more tight for people, and I'd like to do my best not to add anymore to that burden. It's not much, but it's the least I can do for the people supporting me.
That said, with places starting to open back up now, I think it might be safe to start thinking about it again.
My summer is usually pretty crazy irl, so it's most likely these changes wouldn't go active until like, September at least, so there's lots of time to discuss it still!
On that note, the price changes I've been considering so far would look something like this:
$100 -> $120
$70 ->$90
$30 ->$50
$15 -> $30
I hope that doesn't seem too excessive to consider, at least. I'd rather it be more gradual like the last increase I made, but between Patreon making it difficult to modify existing tiers as is, plus how long I've postponed this, I'm hoping this is understandable^^
...wow, for having not much to say, this went on pretty long after all!
I think that's about everything for now, and like I said, this is all still open for debate, and (unless there's huge positive response for it) most likely won't be implemented until September at least. So I hope to hear back from everyone, and I look forward to continuing to draw lots of stuff for you all!
And for my reward-tier patrons, don't worry, the usual email for your requests will be out later today, so keep an eye out! Given my wrist problem though, I'd appreciate if this time requests would all be in by the 10th instead, as I'll need more time to work. I'll remind you all in the email anyway, so don't worry about it too much.
Thanks again for your support, and I hope everyone's keeping safe and healthy!

Yeah, 20% seems pretty ridiculous honestly. I'll see what I can do!

2020-06-01 22:08:15 +0000 UTCThat's okay, thanks for understanding. It's probably worth going over the creator email you got and fiddling with the settings so we pay less of a markup on your stuff where possible though.

2020-06-01 22:03:47 +0000 UTCOh damn, that's how it works? Jesus, no idea it was that bad. Also my bad, I guess I must have misinterpreted it then. Sorry!

2020-06-01 22:00:10 +0000 UTCSales tax isn't paid by you, it's paid by the person who's giving you money, it it's anything like the other value-tax systems patreon has had to implement. I already pay a 20% markup on your tier reward.
