This artwork comes with a longer story that's close to my heart — a dream of mine, you might say.
For those who have been around for a while, it's no secret that I currently live in Łódź. A city that's drab and grey, and if I'm honest, one of the least visually appealing in Poland. I moved here to be with my beloved one. I am the romantic fox, ehh ;P
Yet, almost from the very moment I set foot in this city, I knew I don't want to live here. The truth is, I absolutely despise Łódź; the sight of weathered buildings, old warehouses and the general greyness of this city. I soon realized that my art was suffering from the absence of inspiring landscapes, the vibrant hues of nature, or even the simple pleasure of lush green grass beneath my feet. I feel truly miserable in this urban environment.
However, life has its ways...
During the pandemic, my partner and I stumbled upon a YouTube channel chronicling the journey of a novice homesteader. We watched as he showcased his ups and downs, spoke of the struggles and the triumphs. In those moments, a shared dream began to take root.
We'd chat about raising chickens or growing veggies more and more. Owning our land and living off it became the dream. I love animals, my partner loves gardening – regenerative farming felt perfect for us.
I've embarked on a journey of learning about animal husbandry, preparing for what lies ahead. The dream of nurturing the land truly fuels our hearts. We plan to actively search for our very own homestead on Spring. My partner delves into property listings, evaluating our financial standing.
And so, the new banner is a story of dreams and a brighter future we're working towards...

2023-08-15 09:22:31 +0000 UTCI wish you the best of luck Ana! That's a beautiful dream very similar to mine. It seems like a lot of hard worker and I have a bad habit of being a defeatist, quitting before I even start, but this inspires me to keep pressing on and not give up on my dreams yet.
