Kitty Replacement TG

Alex hadn’t meant to lose the cat.

Really.

It was supposed to be a normal Friday afternoon — just him and Luna, his girlfriend Marissa’s precious, spoiled tabby, lounging on the couch. He’d opened the balcony door for a breath of fresh air, turned around to grab his phone, and… she was gone. One flick of the tail, one leap over the railing, and she vanished into the maze of apartment rooftops.

By the time Marissa came home, Alex had spent an hour shaking a treat bag and calling her name to no avail. He’d expected her to be mad — maybe give him the silent treatment. He wasn’t prepared for that look.

It was calm. Too calm.

“So,” Marissa said, setting down her bag. “You lost my Luna.”

“I— It was an accident! I just—”

She held up a hand. “Don’t bother. I’ve already decided how to fix this.”

The next thing Alex knew, she had disappeared into her bedroom closet. When she came back, her arms were full: a long, folded bodysuit in some shiny, patterned fabric, a pair of lace-trimmed cat ears, and a bundle of something that swished like a tail.

“You’re going to replace her,” she said simply.

He blinked. “Replace— what? You mean—”

“I mean,” she interrupted, “that until Luna comes back, you are Luna. My Luna was graceful, obedient, and adorable. You will be all three. Starting now.”

Alex laughed, thinking she was joking.

She didn’t laugh back.

The “costume” turned out to be a head-to-toe bodysuit in soft, stretchy leopard print lace, complete with built-in gloves and feet. The pattern was intricate and clung to him in a way that made him hyper-aware of every movement. When zipped, it hugged his frame and smoothed over any hint of his normal clothes — not that he was allowed to keep them on underneath.

To top it off, she added a long, silky blonde wig that tumbled halfway down his back. She fussed with it until it sat perfectly straight, brushing his “fur” with a teasing smile. Then came the headband: black lace cat ears, delicate but perky.

Alex caught sight of himself in the mirror. It was absurd — like some mix between a runway costume and a cartoon character. He opened his mouth to object, but Marissa was already holding up a small tube.

“Lip gloss,” she said, uncapping it. “Special formula. Makes your lips extra soft. Every good kitty needs a pretty meow.”

The gloss was cool and tingled the second it touched him. She applied it thickly, then stood back. “Perfect. Now for the tail.”

The tail was plush and covered in faux fur, swaying with a weighted tip. It attached to the back of his suit with a snug clip, hanging low enough to swish when he moved.

“That’s… everything, right?” Alex muttered, trying to keep the embarrassment out of his voice.

Marissa’s smirk deepened. “Oh no, not even close. From now on, you don’t walk like a human. Luna didn’t. She was graceful, low to the ground, on all fours. That’s how you’ll move. Always.”

He stared. “You’re kidding.”

Her phone beeped in her hand. “I’m not. And if you try to cheat—” She tapped her screen, and a faint buzz hummed through the clip holding the tail. Not painful, but startling enough to make him jump. “—I’ll know.”

It turned out she’d hidden a small vibration device in the base of the tail. The rule was simple: two feet? Buzz. Knees on the ground? Peace.

At first, Alex thought he could play along for a bit, humor her until she got bored. But Marissa was relentless.

She began “training sessions” right there in the living room.

Lesson one: sitting like a cat. She made him curl up on the rug, legs tucked under, chin lifted. Any slouch earned a tail buzz.

Lesson two: “grooming.” She brushed the wig in long, slow strokes while humming to herself, tilting his head side to side as if inspecting a prize show pet.

Lesson three: “service.” He had to carry a small tray of snacks to the coffee table in his teeth — crawling, tail swaying, without dropping anything. Every wobble of the plate made her raise an eyebrow.

By the end of the first hour, his knees ached and his pride was in tatters. But the real humiliation came when she decided to “take her kitty for a walk.”

A black ribbon collar was fastened snugly around his neck, complete with a gold bell that jingled every time he moved. Marissa clipped a thin leash to it and led him — still on all fours — out onto the balcony.

Neighbors could see. He prayed they weren’t looking.

She made him sit by the railing, tail curled to one side, while she sipped iced tea and scrolled her phone. Occasionally she’d scratch under his chin and coo, “Good Luna,” in a voice so saccharine it made his ears burn.

Inside again, the “game” didn’t stop. She had a full list of commands:

Refusal or hesitation was met with the tail buzz, always followed by her cheerful, “Try again, kitty.”

By evening, she had him curling up at her feet while she watched TV, absently playing with the cat ears while he rested his head on her lap. Every so often, she’d slip her phone out and snap a picture, claiming she was “documenting progress.”

When Alex finally begged for mercy, Marissa leaned down so her eyes met his.

“You lost Luna,” she said softly. “Until she comes home, you are Luna. And even when she does… maybe I’ll keep you like this sometimes. You’re too cute to give up completely.”

The tail buzzed again, just long enough to make him flinch. She smiled.

“Now… be a good kitty and fetch me my slippers.”

And, crawling away on all fours, tail swaying behind him, Alex knew two things for sure:

One — he’d never see cats the same way again.

Two — Marissa wasn’t joking about keeping the ears.
