Welcome to 2023 - Public

Sparkie’s boys (and girls) certainly know how to have a good time, and so, with the aid of bountiful bottles of bubbly, the New Year is seen in properly and with style. Well, apart from Cloud Strife, of course, who looks just as despondent as ever (though that may, of course, be down to his being manacled helplessly to a steel stake while Sephiroth applies festive torture by tickling him up with prickly holly…) Poor Cupid isn’t exactly enamoured of being turned into the fairy on top of the tree, either – nor of being stripped naked and set up as a spectacle. But, then, why not start the year as we mean to go on? And that also goes for Link, whose misguided job-interview as an extra elf has landed him in the clutches of ‘Santa’ Azziel and his ‘little helpers,’ who are enjoying the blond elf-boy’s humiliation to the full.

However, it is He-Man who holds centre-stage as he puts on a playful demonstration of his enormous strength by hoisting aloft not only the entire weights bar but also the six characters who have been admiring his muscular frame. Now, though, their position is precarious as the bar begins to shake and to wobble – and then to rock wildly about as He-Man loses control of it in gales of helpless laughter and sudden involuntary movements. For one of the ‘elves’ has taken advantage of his prone position and spurted champagne all over the hero’s torso – much to the delight of Cringer, who immediately begins to lick it all up. And so He-Man is being tickled by his tiger’s tongue – and the bar is tipping and causing panic as those upon it fight for balance. Such is the chaos – and the mischievous amusement of Azziel and his imps – that all eyes are riveted to the scene, forgetting other distractions – even the champagne!

But the party will go on and we shall be there to watch, so be sure to stay tuned for the conclusion, and maybe an unexpected twist in the tale…..
