But that enemy, as skilled in cunning as in swordplay, has no intention of using his blade against the angry blond; after all, he most definitely does not want the boy damaged. And so he swiftly levels his sword’s edge instead against Tifa’s helpless throat – which causes Cloud at once to give back in dismay and to try and placate him into doing nothing to harm her. And Sephiroth is only too happy to oblige – as long as Cloud does something for him in return.
A small thing and simple – nothing much to ask in return for a life, surely? And yet when it is named the young warrior is appalled and hesitates – until a slight movement of the razor-sharp steel sets him to doing as he has been ordered. With the greatest reluctance – but with no choice – Cloud slowly removes his pants…
