Not me carrying on with the off-roading references but in a punny fashion.

You know, I’ve always been one of those people who denies having Seasonal Affective Disorder until one day the sun comes out and I find myself rolling around in the grass like a dog happy to acquaint their back with the smelliest patch in the garden.

Seriously, two sunny days and I almost forgot computers existed, so I’d apologise for this update being unusually late but at the same time I had to enjoy our two minutes of British spring so I’m sure you’ll understand.

Last month’s update was a haul (and if you didn’t read it I’d strong encourage you to, as it contained essential information about the future of this Patreon and what this means for everyone), so this month I’m going to make it nice and nippy so we can all go back to enjoying whatever brand of weather will help us forget we’re living in the strangest timeline.

StarStickers

There will be a limited batch of illustrated rewards opening this month, between the 10th and 13th of March. Wohoo!

Please note that Limited means that some rewards won’t be available this round.

Additionally, a reminder that while all rewards will be completed in due time, as of last month’s update, rewards for patrons who delete their pledge will be moved to the bottom of the list to be completed once all other rewards are cleared, in order to honor and prioritise patrons continuing their support.

The current available slots on limited tiers are:

Ultimate Tier: 1 slot

This tier entitles you to 100 points a month on StarStickers and priority when booking rewards (ie, you’ll always be accepted on applying)

Additionally, I am also introducing Forward Priority for Ultimate Tier patrons - meaning that your reward will be also be completed sooner - with a maximum wait of 3-4 months after booking.

Mentor Tier: 1 slot
This tier entitles you to a private 1-to-1 art session every month to help you in your art journey. For more info check here. Additionally, you also get 20 points a month on StarStickers to spend on rewards such as custom illustrations, prints and other merch. This tier is limited to 12 spots.

Also a reminder that all friend referrals come with bonus points for both the joiner and the patron who refers them. What this means is that if someone you know joins on, say, the 10$ tier, you will both get 10+ points on Starstickers on top of that month's regular allocation. Super handy if you’re looking to collect some extra points ahead of the changes coming up!

In closing

First of all, I want to say that although last month’s update was possibly the most terrifying thing that I’ve had to write since the inception of this Patreon, the response I got was so overwhelmingly positive that I had to spend a day sitting back in my chair just taking it all in. I have always said that I’m very fortunate to have such a wonderful community, but I think I had never fully registered how wholesome and generous my patrons can be and for that I am grateful in a way I don’t have the words for.

That said, I also appreciate that there were some important questions to be discussed and more that will crop up as we go along. That’s why, in lieu of the Zoom call (which didn’t manifest due to low participation) I will be hosting a stream on Twitch - like in the good old days - where anyone can pop by and chime in with any lingering queries (or simply watch me pretend to draw something that I’ll inevitably have to redo post-stream).

On the art-front, this month might be a little slower on the posts given that I’m working on several complicated pieces at a time. Although I love working on the simpler fare like busts, I’m well excited to finally have the energy to put into some bigger, more conceptual stuff and I’m really looking forward to sharing it with you all so please bear with me and look forward to it!

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I heard there’s an especially pungent square of my yard the dogs and I have to go roll around in.
