Happy new year, fellow survivors!

Somehow we made it another loop around the sun, albeit, personally, with one less loop around my belt.

I need to have a word with whoever said calories don’t count around Christmas…

How did you all fare last month? I, for one, found myself at the bottom of a rabbit hole in House Flipper - a game that makes cleaning windows and picking up trash so entertaining that I almost forgot the existential ennui that comes from neglecting to do that for months in my own, real life home…

Now with all that stalling out of the way, let’s get to business.

There will be a small batch of illustrated rewards opening this month, between the 6th and 9th of January. Yippie!

New prints have been added in sizes A4 and A3:

Please note that these are regular prints and NOT foiled. While I do plan to introduced a limited batch of foiled prints for both of these at some point, I still haven’t had time to figure that part out so please look forward to that in a future update.

Additionally, all pending merch will be sent out this month. In the end, despite the GPSR regulations, I found a bit of a loophole through which I can still send parcels into Europe so with that in mind, I decided it was best not to put anything into our notoriously disastrous Christmas mail service. You have no idea how many deliveries I had to pick up from the wrong address across town…

So to anyone waiting for their prints, thank you for your patience and please look forward to receiving them soon.

This tier entitles you to a private 1-to-1 art session every month to help you in your art journey. For more info check here. Additionally, you also get 20 points a month on StarStickers to spend on rewards such as custom illustrations, prints and other merch. This tier is limited to 10 spots.

Also a reminder that all friend referrals come with bonus points for both the joiner and the patron who refers them. What this means is that if someone you know joins on, say, the 10$ tier, you will both get 10+ points on Starstickers on top of that month's regular allocation.

In closing

If you were here last year, you may remember that I set out a roadmap for 2024-27. If you weren’t here - or unconscionably neglected to read it - you can catch up here.

While I didn’t make as much headway with it as I’d like, the cogs are still turning and the plans are still in motion - particularly because this month signals the start of a 2 year process leading up to a major surgery..

In a few days, I’ll be having two big dental procedures as a step towards this operation- which will happen between 18 and 24 months from now - and while I’m loaded with what’s likely misplaced optimism about the recovery process, I’m also very conscious that when that time comes I will probably need the time and bandwidth to heal properly.

So with that in mind, I will soon be setting out to make big changes to the way this Patreon works. These will be outlined in next month’s update so please make sure you read that so you’re aware of what this will entail.

For now, I shall leave you all to make the most of your aspirations for 2025 before we all collectively decide to lay down by February and just let the year wash over us.
